| Looking into switching feeds so I need ideas on what to look into.
I have a 3yo, 5yo and 10yo. I have (1) easy keeper-10yo, (1) hard keeper-5yo and (1) normal keeper-3yo. Any suggestions would be great. I feed THE MM to all but the 10yo pasture ornament. |

Location: Millen Ga | I feed triple crown complete and am completely sold. If I can figure out how, I will post before and after pics. I got her in June and she was very thin. I had her on ADM Patriot 12-10 from June thru August and after 60 days it just didnt seem to be doing the trick. She gained but looked washed out, and plateaued out. I swapped to Complete after really looking into it, and after 2 weeks I noticed a difference. Im sold on it. She looks even better now, but I dont have a more current picture. Edited- I did find another picture! Last one was from around 9-24-15 or so.

Location: East Tennessee but who knows?! | I feed the original Strategy to everything from the 4 yr old to the 24 yr old. I add Rice bran, flax seed, and kelp when I get it. I just put my barrel horse back on Total Equine but the other 6 are on Strategy. Its easy and they all do well. I do feed alf cubes and beet pulp to replace part of the grass and hay. |

Strategy would be easy for me to get. My fear is my hard keeper. I had a horse go NUTS on strategy a few years ago but if my current horses went "NUTS" it might be a good thing lol. They are little bumps on logs. I used to feed Total Equine until the price went up and I had to double my horses rations to keep them fat :/ |

Location: MD | I was feeding so much sub-par feed. switched to free choice hay and triple crown complete. I don't feed much but when I was in the initial transition I was feeding the regular reccomended amount per bag, here is some (kind of bad) before and after pictures. I didn't expect what I was going to get out of them so I didn't take any good before pics
as you can see in the first two pictures, he was very narrow appearing, poor coat unless I was spraying on show sheen. and his activity level was poor. the final three pictures really show how great he looks. His coat actually looks amazing but he has this obsession with rolling and getting filthy. The picture of him in the grass really shows how big he actually is

I noticed a big change in energy when i switched my barrel horse from TE to Strategy the first time. His energy was MUCH better on the Strategy. Now that he's going back to TE (for feet) he's still going to get some Strategy for feet. The rest have some energy but they're not incredibly hot.they're only getting 3.8 pounds per day. I agree, that if you feed the TE you have to have another source of calories like alf cubes and rice bran. |

so question, poundage wise what do you feed 1 horse per day right now after being on it a while? |

I haven't measured poundage, but he goes through 1 bag a month right on the button. So when you do the math its 1 2/3 lbs a day.
and doing it this way is worlds easier on my checkbook and I don't have to fuss with supplements.

Location: Oklahoma | I feed RG, but before this I fed BlueBonnet Omega Force. He looked great and had a great sheen to him, but I couldn't deal with the 17% NSC. & the RG is cheaper for me to feed. I was going thru 2.5 bags at $23/bag for the BB-OF vs one $34/bag a month of RG.
Cross Brand Feed in OKC sells it. I had my husband buy the last two bags today so I'll see what it costs once he gets home (it was $34/bag but might have gone up), but they told me to call them when I start my second bag and they'd order some more for me. They said it takes about two weeks to get it in. It might be cheaper for you than your current dealer. |

| I feed Buckeye Gro and Win, it costs me 40/bag but lasts 30 days for 1 horse feeding 3 lbs.
The one thing I don't like about the Gro and win, is the fat content was a little lower then I liked, I think it is 12/14%. The NSC is 13% and protein 36% (ball park don't have the handout in front) I add flax to increase the fat.
My horses look great on it, nice top line, shiny coat, healthy feet. |

If you're feeding 3lbs/day how does it last 30 days?? Or is it not a 90lb bag, not a 50lb bag of feed??? |

| Here are a couple of pictures of a filly that I got in this summer, she was under weight and had no muscle . I put her on just oats and muscle mass or oats and a vit/min supplement call equivision . She of course was on hay and then to grass for a few weeks but she really filled out. I mostly feed oats with muscle mass or equivision because it is more cost effective for the amount of horses I feed .

I'm not sure how many lbs are in the bag, my weight scale may be off too, (I have never calibrated it) but I do know the scoop that I use to feed my horses measured out 30 feedings, (I have one at the vets so I sent feed down). |

Location: Mississippi | Triple Crown Complete!!! Right after we swapped I was feeding one three pound scoop in the morning and one in the evening with hay and pasture. We have now had to cut them back to one scoop if they are in the pasture. If they are in the barn one scoop in the morning one at night and that's also being worked everyday. My horses are fat and prettier than ever. Plus we are feed half of the amount we was feeding. |
