Does anyone have experience with bashkir curly horses?  I'm not asking for a barrel prospect but just a trail horse/companion for my horse. Someone I know can't afford to keep her so we're looking into it but I literally have never been around one.. Reading online that they generally are easy going and easy keepers.  Anyone have any insight?
Thanks!

ETA: They're from just north of South Bend, IN across the MI border, if anyone is really interested let me know and I can get you her contact info. It's my student employee's parents; her dad's health has went downhill fast and is on disability so they can't afford to board anymore and need to find a good home for her, probably for a couple hundred dollars.

I mostly just know that they are supposed to be Hypoallergenic, so if you think you're allergic to horses, you probably won't be allergic to one of those!

Hoping the bump up helps!

Don't know anything about them but they always seemed docile and very unique! I'd love to have one! :)

They seem sweet. Every one I have seen has been pretty chubby. Lol! I think they are usually easy keepers

We used to rent cattle pasture form people that raised them. They did nothing with them really and they were spoiled and rude to be around but as far as build and function they looked really good.
Seemed just like any breed out there, only as good as the training that goes into them.

I will say there was one foal over the years that I just loved sweet and cute and craxy curly hair, the breed is curly but this guy looked like you permeate a poddle then electrocuted it he was so curly and fluffy. And very personable id of bought him for sure!

My friend had one and used her for gymkhanas and she was great! Amazing trail horse too. If I could I'd buy one and use it for barrels lol!!

My aunt breeds them and does dressage. Hers are more on the chill side. They kind of remind me of working with drafts. A little stubborn sometimes... but overall pretty nice.

When I was in HS a friend of mine ended up with a super cute little BC horse. He was a red roan. Two years old. Only contact was when he was gelded. He was so laid back that with in two days he was saddled and we were riding through town. He turned out to be an amazing kids horse. Never got super tall, but had a tank of a build. Super easy keeper as well

We had one we bought for the kids, they climbed all over him and he never cared...could be a little stubborn for the little ones. He also was was built like a tank but he never missed a step. We had never seen one before but my kids used the heck out of him.
