| Proverbs 20:22-30 Do not say, I will recompense evil. Wait on the Lord, and He will save you. Diverse weights are an abomination to the Lord, and dishonest scales are not good. A man's steps are of the Lord; How then can man understand his own way? And afterward to reconsider his vows. A wise king sifts out the wicked, and brings the threshing wheel over them. The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the inner depths of his heart. Mercy and truth preserve the king, and by loving kindness he upholds his throne. The glory of young men is their strength, and the splendor of old men is their gray head. Blows that hurt cleanse away evil, As do stripes the inner depths of the heart.
As we take our steps to our relationship with Our Lord Jesus, we have false starts, stumbles, and falls. Each one is taken in the sight of loving God, who is always there to catch , love, and guide us.
The steps of men and women of God are ordered by the Lord. The entire story of Scriptures is about a loving Father who created us and redeemed for Himself sons and daughters. He has provided for our every need and guided each step of our journey. Even during those times when we were not aware of His presence. He has ben there with us. When we cannot see our way. He is always there. When we cannot understand our own way, He is always there. He is the one who orders our steps.
Read slowly Hebrews 11. It gives a long list of ordinary people like you an me whom God used in extraordinary ways. Much of the time they could not see what was before them, and they definitely could not understand all the ways that God worked in their lives.
The one thing that these men and women had in common was their faith and trust in God. The scriptures says that the world was not even worthy of them. These people remained true to the end. They did not receive the things promised, but saw them and welcomed them from a distance. They were looking for a better country, a heavenly one that only God could prepare for them.
If you are in Christ, your steps have been ordered by the Lord. He will not leave you or forsake you. He will be with our each step of the way. BLESSINGS!
