| A doctor who treated ebola patients in Africa arrived home to New York about a week ago. He rode a crowded subway and went to a bowling alley before showing symptoms. I don't understand why those treating these patients are not voluntarily quarantining themselves. I can't post the link from my phone.

Location: Kansas | Frequented restaurants, rode in cabs and has a girlfriend who is now quarantined. He should have known to quarantine himself when he came here from West Africa.....but he didn't. |

| One report says he did self quarantine for a couple of days when he began not feeling. Another said he was at a bowling alley the night before going to the hospital. Not sure which is exactly the truth. |

Location: In a happy place | Proof that some people are just stupid. We have man and his wife in our church that are on their way to Africa right now. He feels that it is his duty to go and take supplies to a group of people he has been seeing need it.
Well the majority of the members of our church are going to quarantine ourselves from going to church when he and his wife get back. He has made the comment that he feels safer over there than here. Stupid stupid man. I know the church I will be going to, it is really nice but I haven't been going to this church for that long and I sure am going to miss my pastor. I keep hoping they will not allow him back at the church but I really doubt that will happen. |

This is so very sad.
Where would Jesus be right now? Sitting in church listening to the preacher? No, he'd be with the last, the least, the outcasts, the infected.
Prayers for the kind couple from your church who are listening to God's call. This might make them "stupid" in human perspective, but it makes them faithful and obedient to Christ, which is a higher calling.

It is Christian to go help others but I don't think Jesus intends for these acts of kindness to bring harm to others.
I too am on the bandwagon of finding it utterly unbelievable and irresponsible that even trained doctors who have had direct contact with Ebola are not self quarantining themselves. If doctors won't even do it why do they expect others to do it??? |

Location: In a happy place | I don't manage to type my words as well as I can talk. I didn't mean the man was stupid for going. I understand if he believes he should go to help needy people and I understand if he believes very deeply that God will protect him.
What I think is stupid is that he will not quarantine himself when he gets back home. He said he doesn't want to quarantine himself because he wants to come to church to immediately tell everyone what he got accomplished over there. I for one have a really poor immune system right now with all that I have had. Sorry if that scares me. |

| here's my take on this doctor...or someone else will do it i'm sure...
Someone who contracts it over there won't care if they bring it back to America. These "humantarians" think that if American's get it, America will then do something more to help those with the disease. Home and abroad.

I understand where you are coming from, with what you have been threw in the last couple of years I would be very careful also. This couple needs to quarantine themselves for a few weeks befor coming into contact with anyone, maybe they should just make a video of themselves while over there and then mail it to the church so others can see it. They need to be thinking about family and friends. Prayers that they do the right thing |

They guy in NYC went bowling and took the subway before he showed symptoms. Why wasnt it mandatory that he be in quarantine not just voluntary. Theres a school on Long island know that is being watched because the relatives of a family are visitng from over there. They sent out a letter how they were going to clean the school since the child has been exposed and is going to school. Its crazy |

If nothing else.... People that are KNOWN to have worked with Ebola patients should be under a mandatory quarantine when they come back here. |

In addition to this there in a plane grounded in my state because they are reporting a passenger had a nose bleed and has not been in contact with anyone from West Africa. Seems strange - but this is the news report.
