Rustoleum makes a spray called Neverwet for waterproofing outdoor furniture fabrics. I wonder if that would work?

I use camp dry. You can get it at Walmart in the sporting goods section. Generally takes 1 can per blanket.

I grab the tent waterproofer in the WalMart camping section. The can is usually a bright orange. I use 1-1 1/2 cans per blanket.

When I was younger and broker, I bought the cheap stable blankets and used this stuff. Worked like a charm!
