| This is "Barrel Horse World," right?
I know that NBHA isn't the only game in town, but it's definitely one of the biggest.
The NBHA World Finals is over and there is no update on placings. The peeps who attended are on the road home, but there used to be threads following the action at the big barrel races. Now, none.
Just a sign of the times I guess. News is now a sensationalized circus. BHW is just a victim of the times.
But it is somewhat disappointing.

More Upbeat Happy Threads and Less Depressing ones would be nice.
I lost my friend 3 weeks ago & then my 3yo colt 2 days later. I didn't make a post about it. Instead we had a celebration of "Life" and reminisced on all the Happy Memories. Spreading Happiness makes sadness a whole lot easier to cope with. So my point is, we need to focus on what we Love & what makes us Happy and obviously if you are on this site, Barrel Racing makes you Happy. There are plenty of other places you can go to read about Doom & Gloom.

Entries were down this year, but there was still 860 in the open and 400+ senior entries. The results posted above are the open short go finals from 7 days of qualifying rounds. There were people from Canada to Texas and Mexico, Oklahoma. It's still a heck of a show. |

I have no access to BHW or FB during my work hours.
SG understood - this was more a comment on the change in posts and pst contents now compared to what it used to be. Way back when there would have been a post, or posts, started when peeps were rolling out to the big shows, and then constant updates for the duration of the show(s). This is a site about barrel racing, and we kept each other informed and entertained with talking about barrel racing. I know where to find the results -- but HOW WAS THE GROUND?? How were the vendors?? Who picked up a really nice tack set? Who's horse improved through the week? Who's horse was feeling down, or even sick, and suggestions for improvements? That sort of stuff. I miss that.

 Own It and Move On
Location: The edge of no where | Maybe more people are using fb for that? I know that I do... We went and watched the American qualifier, it was blowing up my newsfeed. It's not that people aren't following it, just probably using different media because it's faster. |
