Location: Montana | Looking for a good and reputable colt starter/horse trainer in central Montana. Someone who is good but I don't have to take out a second mortgage to afford, lol. It's been almost 5 years since I took a horse to be started or have 30 days put on. Thanks!Eta: I'm on my phone so sorry if something doesn't make perfect sense or isn't spelled correctly. :)

| I'd drive to Milton-Freewater, Oregon and have Emmet Evans put the first 30 days on. |

I know where that is (sold a truck to some people there once) but is a little farther than I'd like to go. Thanks! |

| If you can't find anyone close to you then I would make the trip or see if you can find a "hauling train" for you. You will not be disappointed. |

Lisa put some time on my mare on barrels, and I have contacted her, but haven't heard back lately. I love what she did with my mare, though, so I hope to hear from her soon! |

| Just putting this out there for you..
I know of a Trainer in Northwest Mt that is amazing at starting colts/horses. I've sent horses to many top trainers throughout the years, and have never seen anything like this trainer. He gets their mind first, then their body. I've never ridden such responsive or soft horses in 30 days ever. He truly has a unbelievable talented gift with horses. Come watch him and ride his horses then you will understand. He doesn't advertise he's a trainer. Back in the day he was a trainer cutting, reining, barrel horses in Washington who did very well. All I can say is if you want your colt/horse started right I know the person for you. He has a nice facility, stalls, indoor/outdoor arena round pen etc. your horses get the best care. My niece just bought a 3 year old filly that is extremely broke from him, she hopes to compete on her at the VGBRA, and other events he broke the filly and she's beyond nice. If your interested I will give you his name/phone#. I promise you won't be disappointed. This is what he says all the time.... "Horses don't lie, people do"! |
