I tried taking the best pictures possible but it was dark outside so im sorry if they arent the best. My moms horse broke out it a bunch of oozing swollen spots all over him. Any one ever dealt with this or have any idea what may have caused this? At first I thought bug bites but all over like that? Idk any help would be appreciated. He is older then 25. So im worried about him.

Well certain ones are about as big as a bug bite. But whats funny is I cant find like a bite or a point of origin for them to be oozing out of .. I wish I could getbthe pictures to load!

Isnt it just kinda weird for only him to have gotten attacked by bugs? I mean im used to bug bites and I used to own a mare who was allergic to them and she never had it to this extent.

he could have walked through when they were swarming. It has happened to Tequila. They will be gone in a couple of days. Do the bites bother your horse. The bugs are sort of like no-see ums.

we have a few get this every fall
(and only in the fall
), its definatly not bugs............almost looks like rain rot but all over the body and small bumps......i think its a mineral deficency....and e seems to be the missing culpert.....this is strictly my opinion so if you are really worried about your guy take him to the vet......

Do not give him anything so the vet can see what is wrong first. Let us know what the vet thinks. Hope your horse feels better.

Give him some dex. This happens to my horse sometimes, he just has an allergic reaction to them.
