May I see pictures of your bob Marshall's? I'm ordering a new one and am wanting to swap up a bit of what I have. :)

I personally have not had good luck with "ordering" one, I ordered 3 and I disliked all of them, quality was poor, craftsmanship was lacking and they just didn't ride comfortable....

I have a 1998 bmss that I love, smooth as butter....

so I found a 2003 13.5" and I love love love it, very smooth riding.....

I also found a 2003 kids bmss, its tiny....

will try to attach pictures.....

ours our simple, just the border tooled barrel racer saddles, both of these 2003's were trophy saddles, I took off the fenders and made my own leather straps and ordered the suede cuffs from bm to make my own stirrups....

Me too, me too!! I'm thinking about ordering one and considering something different too. I've considered asking if they can do a barrel saddle with the trail cantle. Those 5 inch cantles on the barrel saddles are just too high for my liking. Has anyone ever ordered one like that? I also considered the "Deluxe Endurance" model instead of the "Barrel Saddle" model. Anyone have one of those? I'd love to know a comparison of the two from someone whose ridden in both!

Thank you! I'm assuming it was the 4" cantle? Could you really tell a difference between it and the 5" cantle on the barrel saddles? Was the cantle shaped differently or just a different height?

Funny you mention the quality not being what it used to be.....I follow BM's Facebook page and I remember about a year ago they posted on there something about having many quality and customer service complaints and they had made some changes to their staff and could assure us(their customers) that their quality and customer service would be going back to what it used to be so maybe their saddles are better now than when you ordered....Just a though and I have no idea really...and I just paraphrased the above the best I could remember it but it was quite a while back. If anyone remembers that post and would like to add to or clarify exactly what that post said that would be great!

This post made me realize I need to take more pictures. Here is my March 2013 saddle purchase. Pardon the "sticky behind" seat. I bought the saddle having never ridden in an ostrich seat before and I was all over the place on my first ride. I also had to have custom fenders made for my short legs. They were pretty much brand new in the pic. Yes that is snow in MS in that pic. Horses didn't run worth a flip that day.

But- saddle details. Poker chip conchos, fully floral tooled with cantle lacing. Ostrich seat (never again). Came with the hole in the seat (top of left when sitting)  but I love it anyways!
