| I have a racing quarter horse that I purchased off the track.
Suggestions please for a hackamore with whoa and lift. |

Location: My Own Little World | I really like my free runners in a hackamore. I have quite a few different types but my absolute FAVORITE is my 2 ring Ronny Clampitt. Certainly doesn't look conventional but I haven't had a horse not like it yet. Really helps me get the body control I need and I can put the reins up higher for less leverage or lower for more whoa. If I don't feel like I have enough rate/whoa, I can change up my curb on it too. My nervous/on the muscle horses seem to settle better in this bridle than any of the others I use (bits included) Like I said, I have A LOT of different types of hacks but this is my fav :) |

| Goose tree makes a nice hack too. I have used the Jim Warner, Goosetree, Ed Wright, ladybug and the Rocky on my mare that is tough to stop, and the ladybug and Rocky are the ones that will put the whoa on her. I have not seen a Rocky hack for sale in ages, but the ladybug is pretty easy to find. I like it because it fits much lower than most. |

Location: MN | I have a strong running mare and really like her in an Ugly. She gets setty in a smaller indoor though, then she works better in Pozzi. |

My mare has a lot of power but in a bit if i get in her way just a tiny bit she throws a FIT! so i have to take a bit out of her mouth and she runs so nice. |
