| I think it really depends on what the bottom side is. The MEO's out of Bully daughters have been awesome horses. You have to have something with a lot of sense on the bottom side of a MEO for it to really work as a barrel or using horse. |

| A couple years ago friend of mine had a 3yr old own son of MEO and was cutting bred on the bottom. LOVED him. Smartest and easiest horse to work with and boy could he run! The only thing is that he could get pretty cold backed at first but he usually wouldn't try anything unless it was frisky outside, she would just lunge him then and he would ride off like an old pro. Not sure where he is now as she had to sell him for personal reasons but if I ever found him I'd buy him in a heartbeat. |

Well this is frightening....she is double bred MEO....well sorta MEO on top and Cash treat on bottom who is a full sibling to MEO |

We had a few MEO's out of a Royal Quick Dash daughter. They sure could run. But they were pretty fragile minded. The one had to have his blinkers left on for his win picture. I love MEO. But you really need to evaluate on an individual basis, more so than in most cases. |

This is my gelding. He just turned 8. He IS goofy sometimes, but there's not a mean bone in his body. Anything goofy he does is strictly out of fear/insecurity. I just got him back after he spent a year in training with Brenda Mays. He's got a lot of talent and athleticism, and can run a hole in the wind if you're brave enough to ask him to (I'm not yet). He was taken very slowly through training in order to build his confidence and get some of that goofy out of him, and it worked. I'd take another one in a heartbeat, knowing that you will probably have to take everything a bit slower in order to end up with a confident horse. |

Fully agree. Our guy is bred this way and his babies are amazing in mind and ability. We have been impressed. |

I had that filly for a year patterning her, loved her to death super talented, a total sweetheart and a looker too. She was no more fragile minded than any normal running bred baby. While she was ornery she was never colt backed, as a 5 year old 2 different youth riders have run her successfully in the youth 1d and open 2d.
I would buy another like her in a second! |

Location: Arkansas | I have one that is really nice. Solid and automatic as they come. Not a goofy bone in his body. He's actually very lazy until he gets down the alley then he can pick up and run. But I really love MEO broodmares. I've had several and they are great producers. Picked a new one up not too long ago and am dying to see what comes out of her. I think it's the same as any line though... It really depends on the bottom side! :) |
