Location: lexington KY | I have to say the holiday season is my favorite time of the year. I am blessed that my mother is The Southern Lady Cooks, she makes the most amazing food. I do however bring the barley casserole which is a tradition in our family. She will make her Jam Cake, which I look forward to all year! |

| My 25 year is a fantastic cook and does all the cooking. She is planning on turkey, braised rabbitt, lamb chops. She sends me the shopping list, half the stuff she uses I have never heard of and takes me forever to find- I have to google it to see what I am looking for. Last year we had Welsh rarebit (had never heard of it) as a side dish- OMGoodness was it deliscious. Everything is usually paleo, except for the Welsh rarebit- it was worth it, but still great, |

SG here is the recipe. It is different, but has been a family favorite for many generations.

Location: Washington | Here is the recipe. Be prepared for the color. We love it, but I am known for going crazy with cranberries relish recipes. I am generous with the horseradish because we love it, and love it with the Smoked turkey. It goes very well with pork also. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4176014 |

Location: Oklahoma | We usually have an all traditional dinner.... twice. Usually at 1pm with my family and then with my husbands family at 5-6pm. I usually make mashed potatoes (love the Pioneer Woman's, but open to new suggestions if anyone has a kick a$$ version!) and kitty litter cake... but it's the same version you find if you Google. This one is more of a pudding.
For my husbands side (less people so more slack to pick up) I usually do: Mashed Potatoes Deviled Eggs Roasted Carrots Dressing (my grandma's... I love it!) Kitty Litter Cake other misc. dessert
I love, love, love to cook, but I hate just making dinner for my husband and I. I love for it to be an all day affair in the kitchen! |

Location: ND--it snows, it floods, it snows, it floods | I am the "Lucky" individual that gets to cook for 12 this year. I'm going traditional....Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean cassaerole, pumpkin pie and lemon dessert. Turkey gets cooked in the roaster, stuffing in the crock pot, potatoes boiled and mashed and into the crockpot and greenbean crap in the crockpot. I found a pumpkin pie recipe for a 9x13 cake pan and lemon dessert is in a 9x13 cake pan. That's it..... |
