The Advice Guru Posts: 6419	I like three piece smooth or twisted with copper inlay. I have found with reinsman twist copper inlay, the copper isn't actually inlaid, and broke down within months I had to stop using it. My favourite bit maker for any bit is Dave Elliott. I had one snaffle from him used if for 8 yrs no rough points, then sold the horse, so the bit went with the horse.

Expert Posts: 2531 Location: WI	Love my Flaharty square. Need to get a small twist On a new colt, I use an Ed Wright smooth. That only lasts a couple months, then into a Loomis. But my square and twist I'll use on my finished horses.
