| I am currently feeding the pro force fuel but it is very difficult to come by here. Most places don't keep it in stock. I have an extremely easy keeper and a colt off the track that needs little more. I was thinking about switching to safe choice origional and supplementing the colt with a fat supplement. I did a search and didn't see much on the origional formula. How does everyone like it? Thanks. |

| The original safe choice is a performance feed and the best on the market in my opinion! Great feed!!!! |

Location: Loma Linda, CA | I feed it and have no issues. My guy is never hot, keeps weight on well. I also give him F1 noni, electrolytes and psyllium since my boarding facility is VERY sandy lol. |

Thanks, and that is one of the reasons why I feed it. Had my old mare on another senior feed before this and about every other time my feedstore was out. And that was the only store around that stocked it. So I started feeding safe choice, because TSC sells it, and we have 3 of them in a 30 mile radius.... 1 close to home, and 1 close to work, so of 1 runs out I know I can get some in another store. |

| I agree. I was very frustrated today. I only have 2 horses and when I started the pro force fuel I bought 3 bags. I specifically asked if they kept it in stock and they said they did. Half bag left and guess what? They are out and don't know when it will be in, it's back ordered. Several other places carry it but they are over 40 miles away. When I called all of their feed was past expiration by several months. So TSC it is! They had fresh safe choice so I am going with that. |

Location: CTX | I can feel your pain. Good thing about it is that I like how all 3 of mine look on it. Be it the original or the senior. Just make sure you check the date on the bags, I always do. One of the stores wasn't rotating their bags, so I mentioned it to the manager and they took care of it. |

| Great pic team Thompson! Mine look great just like that on the fuel so I'm glad I don't have to worry about them getting dull! I always check dates on labels. The feed I bought today was made Nov 14. |

| I feed the Safe Choice Special Care to two of my pudgies and the Senior to my old guy. All seem to be doing OK on it although I still can't seem to get the two pudgies to lose any. But it is winter and I did have them down on their weight before I had to start feeding the hay. |

| I have a question for you SC feeders, how much of it do you feed per horse on average? I had a friend of mine in TX that fed it and her horse looked great but they fed him a ton of it (like 10lbs a day). |

| Of course I'm just starting but the bag said. 25-.50 pounds per 100 pounds body weight for my horses activity level. My colt will probably get some extra or weight builder supplement. My good horse is extremely easy keeper. He weighs 1250 pounds so im feeding the minimum with him. |

ETA: for a fat supplement I like the Adeptus Gleam and Gain

for fat supplement go with MAXIGLO, its a Tractor Supply, it come in a meal or small pellets, I was feeding that and my mares a$$ giggled when she walked lol, peeps was making fun of me and saying "u know barrel racing is a speed event right" so I took her off, but man its some good stuff.....
u can also try ULC-R-AID, I know there is no issues w ulcers but this has all the calming ingredients and I felt like it helped the absorption of the nutrients.... |

| I feed forco so they are good to go with that. I have had good luck with the Dumorre's weight builder as well. Max glow is also a great product. I have found that most of those products essentially are Distillers Grains or Rice bran. |
