I know this has been brought up before but I can't find the past posts:-( What is the best deep seated saddle that'll set you down on your seat pockets? I'm really getting tired of looking...

I have heard the Pozzi's and Martin FX3's are deep

Also you might want to try a treeless if you like a deep seat... I felt like I couldn't get out of mine lol, but many like them and they are EXTREMELY comfortable! :

I sat in a Possi yesterday and really liked it-but I also sat in the crown c months ago and liked it & ordered one-but on a horse it just puts me more on my crotch than on my pockets:-(

Martin told me Crown C's are for "crotch" riders, FX3's are for pocket riders.

I ride a Crown C but I ride fairly "up", not back on my pockets

I traded my Crown C for a Pozzi about a month ago. Love it. I love riding in the Crown C, but in runs in could not for the life of me stay in the saddle around a barrel.

I've yet to run in the Pozzi in competition, but just cruising him around at home it is WORLDS better. If I get at all forward he gets really front endy, and I've really been able to stay back and keep him up better.

I enjoy riding in it just as much as the Crown C too and it feel far more close contact to me.

I would go with a Pozzi or a Shiloh.

I agree with the treeless. I just bought a Tammy Fischer and I am very seated down in it. I hope next year when I am running again I will still like it as much as I do now just trail riding.

That's my problem with my Crown C-wish I could try a Possi before buying-

Doesn't Double J have a saddle trial program? Check their website, I think they do.

I really love my Allen Ranch, it has a nice high cantle and even when I ride like total CRAP I don't pop out!

I adore my Lynn McKenzie Double JJ. It's by far the best saddle I've owned in quality, seat for me, etc. I did try a Coats Flex tree at a big show, omg, I loved it SO much. I could just feel the difference. I am very much a pocket rider, but can't get along with treeless, and I was really needing something I could flat out bury myself in. My Lynn saddle will live with me forever.

Nothing beats a treeless for a deep seat- my second choice is Molly Powells Freedom Fit from reinsman.  It not only helps with sitting deep, it also gives you a closer contact feel to your horses back.  I've had the Pozzi and LM's too, they'd be my 3rd and 4th choice from my experience.  Had a Crown C, didn't like it, and the FX3 made me feel like I was perched on top of my horse, not down close to him.   Now it's hard for me to ride anything but Molly's, her saddles totally spoiled me!

I tried a Pozzi Pro and it was pretty deep secure feeling, I tend to fluctuate between riding up front and riding on my pockets. I didn't feel inhibited while riding in anyway.
