| Okay having to give my 3 yr old more time off for a sore tendon. He was scratched outta OKC didn't get to go to the Kindergarten and now I'm thinking we may need to sit out the southern rebel.
Rood and Riddle said time off and we injected with adequan and steroids. He has gone back to work but after a cruise through this saturday in exhibitions (which was amazing and smooth) he came back for his first time entered and didn't do so hot. He came out and had heat in the leg again. So its more time off and cold hosing.
What is everyone doing for tendons? Any and all help/info would be appreciated. Should I bite the bullet and order some runners relief?

Location: Kansas | Have you tried smartpak? I would look into that first, they have SmartTendon pellets, which are $25 per month. Plus several other tendon support supplements. Worth a try, and I loved my smartpaks |

Rood and Riddle said angles were fine and shoes looked good. |

| Get to a certified natural balance shoer to check your angles for you. Seems like 90% of good vets don't understand feet. Saying this from experience with suspensory issues and vets and shoers. Been there, done that.
Otherwise, a better fitness program, Game Ready, and Sore No More. |

Hopper is not recommending it for him at this time. He likes shockwave for bone issues more. So glad the best of the best is close but wish I could afford for him to stay there and them to rehab him. I gotta tell my boy mama is short on dinero here at christmas time when he was post to be winning it back for me! |

Cartrophen is Pentosan basically. |

Location: Oklahoma | Hopper is an awesome vet. Has he consulted with Bramledge at all? What about talking to some of the TB farms nearby that have rehab equipment? Have you talked to KESMARC too? They used to take horses in for use of the equipment |

We've been borrowing a friend's 3 in 1 wraps. The leg has no visible swelling but is holding heat and really heats up after a run with a noticeable difference from one leg to the other. |

Kesmarc is WAYYYYY too pricey for me. I got a quote from there once to condition my open horse in the winter....I coulda bought a new open horse almost!
I'm not friends with any TB trainers or farms to borrow equipment :-( |

I believe in the tendon wraps with the compression of the saratogas I also would not run her for at least 30 days after the last time you felt heat and a clean bill from the vet

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I'm probably going to be the bad guy, but this horse is 3. If he is cruising through a set pretty nice, I'm going to guess he has had a lot of riding in his young life. There are some that do the 3/4 yr old futurities and can handle it physically and many that can not. Yours may be one of the latter.
For treatment. I am a huge fan of Runners Relief best and cheapest place to get it is besthorsegear.com
I also recommend NutraWOUND it is a wonderful supplement that comes with a money back guarantee. Many of the top TB trainers use THE supplements because they work. If you are interested, I can give you all the details. |

You are very welcome. They are such nice people too. I also have a 3yr old with ligament or who knows what going on. I'm working on getting him back into a vet to see. We are currently changing his hoof angles and this is after a lameness vet said there wasn't a thing wrong with them. They were very messed up :( So I am doing the Runners Relief, BOT and PHT. He is much much improved. I am bummed because I only had 30 days put on him as a 3yr old last spring and he cut his foot. We think that is when he stretched the ligament too. Good luck. I hear tendons heal well if you just keep after them. |
