Location: Bastrop, Texas | I honestly hope Romney makes another run. I can't think of anyone more qualified to be president. I'm not crazy about Jeb Bush running, for some reason, and I am pretty sure he's going to throw his hat in the ring. Allen West is a good man. Honestly, anyone would seem heaven sent compared to this bunch we have now.
On the Democrat side, things are beginning to look interesting. Hillary just might be in for a fight. |

Who's up to bat on the dem ticket? I used to think Hillary had it in the bag but I don't anymore. I dont' know anyone interested in Jeb Bush, but maybe he's more popular on the east coast. |

| Let's hope the GOP doesn't shoot itself in the foot like it did last time. You can't can't can't ignore the Christian/grassroot base. It didn't work last time and it won't work this time.

Location: Online | Trump is just a rung or two below Jeb. I sure hope neither one run. I really like Allen West. I don't see Romney running. I'm sure our brilliant (and I use that term very loosely) GOP will come up with a world class moron.
On the Dems side, we'll be stuck with Hillary. The media will forget all about Benghazi and all her screw ups. Or the "native American" lady.
I don't know if anyone watched Outside the Barrel with Flint Rasmussen on Saturday, but he had an Indian Chief on there. Northern Cheyenne I think? I really liked what he had to say about the use of the Redskin name and the media creating most of the problems we are facing right now. He knows the definition of insanity, which I don't know one politician that does. I wish he would run for president.
ETA: I found info... Philip Whiteman Jr. Not actually a chief, but his father is. (I found the name ironic)

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I think the far left is pushing for Elizabeth Warren.
Ben Carson would make an excellent president, but if he makes a run, mark my word, the left will view him as a huge threat to their African American base, and they will come up with some crap or scandal or bimbos.
I just don't see Christie as the nominee.
Jindal would be solid.
Rubio would be solid as well, but I have a feeling he's going to lay in the weeds for a few years.....probably a good idea.
Paul will probably run. Not my first choice.
Palin - won't happen. She needs to keep doing what she's doing. She makes a great lightning rod. |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | Scott Walker might run...I have a feeling he will. I like what he's done in Wisconsin, plus he has withstood a withering assault from the far left and the unions, and has emerged unscathed. He is a battle-hardened veteran of two brutal campaigns from the left.....including help from both Clinton's, as well as the Obamunists. He doesn't get his feathers ruffled and is cool under assault. He's young and very likable, with solid conservative credentials. Keep an eye on him. I like him a lot. He just has the complete package -Midwestern, cool as a cucumber, solid conservative, young, sharp, good looking fella. The guy is a stallion.....I rank him right up there with Mitt. |

I agree. Scott Walker right now looks to be the best shot if he decides to run. |

| I agree that Palin needs to stay as the lightening rod.
I really like Scott W and I really like Mitt. Now, will Mitt run? Probably not. However, I think he could make the budget issues balanced ... he's done it before with major budgets and I think it needs to come back. Our country is in a real tight situation when we are focusing MORE on social issues that the gov't should have nothing to do with instead of focusing on things they should be in charge of - like budgets and rebuilding an economy in which people can get/keep jobs instead of protesting.
Also - GOD HELP US if Hillary gets the nod or heaven forbid the POTUS. I will move. JMO. |

I think what scares me the most is how easily she lies .... straight faced, doesn't look away, very practiced. UG. I'm not ok with that - and when faced with her lie, she gets belligerent and denies everything. LOVELY. |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | Two things that I anticipate getting more attention over the next couple years is 1.) Infrastructure -bridges and highways, and 2.) Water shortages.
Both are REAL problems that actually play right into the Dems hand. The GOP had better have a plan, or they are going to pay the consequences. Even though the "stimulus" bill was supposed to address a lot of infrastructure issues, the fact is we were duped and the problem has been neglected. Water is another issue that will become more and more problematic. "Conservative" solutions to these are not going to be easy. |

| Speaking off the cuff, when will these newly annointed five million immigrants get to register to vote? Five million is quite a bit and when you consider the states they are most likely to register, i,e, Texas, Arizona,Colorado,California, really stacks the deck in the left's favor. (well, it don't hurt). |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | Lately, it seems like there isn't a whole lot of difference between the Dems and the GOP. I hope that trend changes when the new congress convenes next year. It's one thing to "compromise" with the Democrats, and another to compromise your principles. There's an art to maintaining the most important principles while working out a compromise. Reagan was masterful at it. In the current congress, there isn't two sh!ts difference between the two parties. |

| No difference at all. Murkey, muddy water. However, there are clear differences in politics within the GOP and not so much with the Left. That's where they get us. We have branches within our party and are struggling to find the one unified voice that will fit all. I don't see a whole lot changing unless the GOP comes up with a clear stradegy now. |

Location: Kansas | Donald Trump just likes to screw with folks. I doubt he would make a serious run. One thing he harps on continually and I agree with him is that China is destroying the economy of the U.S. Last week I bought a curling iron at Target and a pillow at Kohls. Both were Made in China. Seriously we can't make those things here in Wichita, KS.
