Expert Posts: 2685	Horse is in colic surgery. Please pray Update. Ruth did not make it through surgery. She ended up with a basket ball sized gastric impaction that was undetectable. No reflux- ever. Oil and water passed throug her. Ultrasound and palpating did not detect it either. They were lavaging her stomach to try to flush the impaction out when the surgeon started finding stomach materials (hay and such) in her abdomen. She had ruptured. Could not save her. Thank you everyone for the prayers. She is not in pain anymore. Rest in peace baby Roo.
