My Chasin Firewater is only 8 months old, but I really like his personality so far. He has been very easy to work with since he was born - especially considering he was in a lot of pain from a misdiagnosed inguinal hernia. He learned how to lead, back, yield his hip and shoulder, load and unload in the trailer when he was only a month or so old.
I don't know if I can attribute his willingness to Chasin or not. I know his dam's babies have all been very easy to train and she they have all had such a great mind. But I think as far as build and mind this is her best one yet and I would love to breed her to Chasin again.

My mother has a Hot Corona gelding out of his first crop, I believe, and he is a sweetheart and ridiculously athletic. But if you were just watching him out in the pasture, you'd think he was the laziest horse ever. Not hot at all, easy to get along with. She's brought him along slow, but he can get by his barrels and still clock because he's so dang fast.
I have a yearling Chasin Firewater out of a TB granddaughter of Secretariat/Majestic Prince, and I'm absolutely in love with her! We usually sell our colts as weanlings, but I'm so glad I kept her back for myself. She's easily the most trainable baby I've ever had. You show her something once, and she's got it. Very stocky, with a cute cute head, nice but not in your pocket. She's been an absolute dream and I'm incredibly excited to start her in the spring. Here's a picture of her at one month
(I'm a bad mom and haven't gotten any recent pics
).
