Location: NC | Do you use it as a supplement or as a feed? I think my set up is great to introduce it to my program. Mine are turned out 24/7 with free choice coastal rounds. I supplement with some alfalfa at feed time. Just wondering if anyone just adds it to what they feed now or were able to use it alone as the sole source of nutrition.
Finally have a semi-local dealer of it and they're offering 10% off for me to try it.
I'm thinking of adding a pound or two of oats to it just for some added energy. My guys haven't had any gut issues and they don't get nervous or crazy. Quite the opposite. So I like just a little more fire when I need it.
Thanks in advance!

Location: Texas | Mine get 1/2 lb twice per day. They are out on pasture 24/7 and get free choice coastal bermuda. I use it as a carrier for my Silverlining Herbs & salt. My guys look & feel great on it. |

| I feed mine with alfalfa pellets and free choice coastal. If I have any that need any extra kick, I add a pound of Ultium. I'm running ott triple a 1250+ lb horses. My one little cowbred gets 3/4 lb and coastal. She looks phenomenal. That's it. |

Location: Oklahoma | I feed about 3/4 pound a day to my easy keeper cowbred gelding and about 1 1/4 pound a day to my appendix gelding. Both are on a native grass round bale and the appendix also gets his THE blend and a few flakes of alfalfa added each day. |

| My mare gets 1lb a day and 10lbs alfalfa hay plus free choice grass hay. She also gets THE MM in her grain. She is a "hard keeper" she looks great on that mix. |

Feed. Not a supplement.
I know. But some feed it as a supplement to a grain they aren't feeding the full amount of. |

Location: WYOMING | In talking to Win this week, the owner of Renew Gold, you can use it as either a feed or a supplememt but it all hinges on the quality and amount of forage you have.
I will be using it to fill the holes where a alfalfa only diet is needed.

| I'd sure like to try it, if I could get it around $30ish a bag. Can't get it less than $48/bag though and that's just too high. |

| I only feed renew and hay. It has worked for my Futurity colt from weaning to maturity, broodmare, elderly horse, and now a pony. They all look and act fabulous. |

Location: Phoenix | My horse gets good grass hay and a small flake of alfalfa. I feed RG as a feed....my horse was pretty ribby because he started his winter in WA and was fairly poor. He does well without a lot of sugar and I wanted him to get the fat that this feed provides. |

Location: South Central Florida | I feed it as a suppliment. My horses are turned out 24/7 on grass, but it's just bermuda grass. Although they have a lot of it, I don't want to suppliment their hay because I have a really hard time getting consistant hay here. Between the price and the up down quality, I only feed hay a few times a year and when we are traveling. Because of not being sure about the quality fo the forage, I feed it as a suppliment with a low starch/low sugar feed. I used to feed MaxEglow, but switched to the Renewgold for added fat, and the price as a suppliment is about the same.

Location: Willows, CA | Most people do not feed additional grain based feed with Renew Gold unless their roughage source, hay or pasture, is very poor. In that case, Renew Gold can be supplemented with added Stabilized Rice Bran, or low starch conventional feed, but at a greatly reduced feed rate of those two ingredients. With poor roughage, your best supplement dollar is spent on better hay if you can find it. With grass programs, a little alfalfa 3 or 4 pounds per day) can encourage better hind gut efficiency by slowing the system down a little. This allows a better chance of digestion of the fast moving grass hay by giving the system a little more time to break it down. You do not trade Renew Gold out pound for pound with other feeds because of the digestive system changes that Renew Gold encourages. Typically, we replace around 4 pounds of conventional feed with one pound of Renew Gold. The extra calories that you have taken out of the feeding program by reducing or eliminating commercial grain based feed is replaced by much more complete digestion of hay in a more efficient hind gut. We do encourage customers to call us if they would like to go over their feeding program. |

Location: Willows, CA | We continue to work on Canada. There are registration issues that require a Canadian agent in place, and acceptance is challenging. The whole NAFTA Treaty is pretty one sided. We are working on making them happy. I hope to have this done by spring. |

Location: Oklahoma | I have two that are on burmuda pasture, and also get burmuda round bales, and some alfafa at feeding time. My mare just gets enough oats to keep her from throwing a fit at feeding time (shes an easy keeper and retired). I've had my gelding on Renew Gold for a little over a year now, though he went about two months without during the summer while he was turned out. He is big and tends to be a hard keeper. He gets 1 1/2 lbs of Renew Gold, a couple pounds of crimped oats, and beat pulp every day. He lost a little weight coming into winter before I could get him pulled in off the 200 acres he was on. He's filled back in a bunch, and as soon as hes where I want him i'll drop him back to just the RG. |
