So, progress on building my barn is coming along and now I need to find a few things.... looking for the best bang for my buck...

1. Where can I find the tracks for the sliding doors. I'm talking the big alley way sliders...I can only find the ones for the stall doors which are not long enough, is there a bracket or fitting that will connect several tracks together? Alley is 12 ft wide so two 6 ft wide doors sliding = 24 ft of track....right?

2. What is the best stall door latch? I have a horse that is a bit of a houdini.
I'm not buying any of the premade stall fronts or doors...I'm building it all myself. Definate learning curves along the way...I've never built anything this big.
There is an older gentleman that lives up the road and he walks his dog by my place everyday.....he actually stopped the other day and told me "it looks really good...even for being built by two girls." LOL

If you have 2 doors, then I would think you would want two tracks..one for each door.   Are your stall doors made out of wood?

I think y'all are doing a awesome job, was going to tell ya this weekend but y'all were deep in conversation and my kids were yakking my ears off. No idea on the track but are you thinking of these type of latches? We had these and would put snaps through the "key" and that kept all our escapees in :)

Yes the entrance doors. Two 6ft doors side by side = 12 foot of door and each sliding away from each other means I need another 6ft of track on each side for a total of 24 ft. I can only find 8ft sections so was wondering if there were places to buy longer tracks or if there were connectors.  Local hardware store looked at me like I had three heads when I asked.  Maybe it's a stupid question but like I said I am not a builder and I'm learning as I go.

Thanks!!! And those look like they might work....I have different ones right now and Caddy has figured out how to open the two that lead to the backyard.

As I do this in my mind..and it's old so bare with me.  You may have to buy the 8ft sections and cut them the length you need.  They also make a bracket type thing you put where the sections connect to make sure the door stays in the track.

Yes that's what I was thinking but googling bracket type connector thing was not working out for me LOL.  At least I know I'm not crazy and it is something that probably exists I just need a name for it.
