I originally had everything picked out and wanted the saddle to be the brown vintage color... But I just got my new tack set and the leather is clearly too light to look good, but it's still beautiful and I'm going to have to change my saddle choices. (Yes, I put the cart before the horse).

I'm interested to see what everyone has, I'm gonna probably have to go with a chestnut colored saddle, but still want to see what different tooling patterns look like.

I love mine Pozzi so much! It is the model SBP 410. It is in the brown vintage color, which I absolutely love. I've never had a saddle so dark before, but now I don't think I'll ever go back to a lighter colored saddle.

That's beautiful!!  I'm not crazy about having to go light colored, but I custom ordered the set and I'm in love.  That's what I get for jumping the gun! Lol

I also have another Pozzi that we bought 2 or 3 years ago used. I can't find the specific saddle on the double j website anymore, but it has a floral tooling with a black background. Unfortunately, I have no pictures of it up close and this picture does not do it justice.

I am leaning towards floral tooling vs the southwest like I originally wanted.  Is your background painted?  Is that optional?

Yes, it is painted. Some models come with it, but I am assuming you can get it as on upgrade on any saddle that has tooling that would allow it.

Here's mine, it is a trophy saddle, so don't mind the writing but it doesn't hurt the way it rides! Also it is the only pic I currently have of it...yes, sitting on my floor.  LOL.

Beautiful saddle! Can I just say whatever it is you're doing in the saddle, it looks like something I'd do. :)

I have a Pozzi with the darker leather and I love it. I am not really into the flashy stuff, so I went with all rough out and a nice border. It has a chocolate seat with copper conchos.

Love all the Saddles by double J! Do they have an option that you can somehow get your horse measured so that you know it will fit?

Are you near big shows that they set up at?  They take their trees with them to shows when they set up and that's how I got my gelding fitted.  I think dealers can even fit (I had a dealer help me out with another horse, but she didn't have all the trees and I couldn't find a fit).  I've even showed pictures to Phillip of that gelding that the dealer didn't have a tree for and he told me what I should try.
My 12 year old appendix looks like an appendix and he's a standard tree.  Phillip told me that my  17 year old mutton withered cow bred gelding would probably be a wide tree.  I *think* the #10 tree was for horses with a high hip. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

I'm almost thinking about going with a roughout (I gotta have copper conchos to match my tack set) and then with what money I've saved splurging on getting an elephant seat and dots on the border........ but then I struggle with wanting the southwest/Pozzi flower tooling!!!!!
