Based SOLELY on papers, no, but I am breeding to a QH in the spring that has about the same kind of papers in terms of having big-named horses on the papers BUT I love the stallion himself so to me, its worth it. I hope that makes sense...

Worst.Housekeeper.EVER. Location: Missouri	There are a lot of nice APHA studs, plus paint mare owners have the option of going with a QH stud. So, it would depend on what this horse has done. I don't recognize the maternal side of the dam, the rest is appealing... But there are also other nice sons of JL standing. Guess he'd be a tough sell, imo, unless he was just really special.

Member Posts: 14 Location: KS	When you breed paints - I ALWAYS breed to a homozygous tobiano. That way you do not get a solid breeding stock paint. There are several proven sons of JL out there that are homozygous and stud fees are reasonable. I have one. :) but there are also several auctions going on right now and bids can be as low as $300
