Location: run2win land | I am have been searching for a solid 2D-3D gelding. 10yrs old or younger. 15-16 hands. Must be sound and smooth. NO VICES, like bucking, spooking, rearing, gate or hauling issues. No cribbers. Not picky about bloodlines but after sifting through I decided I would have a better chance finding a unicorn. Anyone else have same problem? |

Location: North Dakota | It IS possible! I have one. And he was under 5k. Don't give up hope yet! To me it seems the only way to get the good ones are to find the people that are pregnant or have some life circumstance like moving or divorce and they can't keep the horse. I know with my boy, I would not take $1,000,000 for him. There is no price that I would sell him for because the first thing I would do would be to go out and try to find one exactly like him! I'd sooner live in a cardboard box and eat dirt than part with him.

Location: NE Texas | I know where there is a mare that meets this criteria that is worth the money and clocking in the 2D behind prorodeo horses. She's pretty to boot! PM me for more info. |

It seems like I only have that problem when I'm actually looking... I'm not on the market for a horse right now (but I would love to be, haha!), but there always seems to be stuff that sounds so great when I've not got the money put aside for a horse!! |

Location: run2win land | This has been a frustrating search after my main horse got hurt. Horses I've tried or even bought had vices that I am not comfortable with. I just want solid, no nonsense and fun! Its not like I'm looking for a world beater either! I am open to mares as long as they do not have major mare issues. |

It may all come down to what you are willing to pay.
A sound horse under the age of 10 with no vices, and a 2d horse to boot, those horses unless you find one hiding somewhere, you may be looking at spending 15/25k
A 3d horse you may be able to find 10k to that fits all your criteria, but as you already states these horses are hard to find as most people appreciate the non quirky horses |
