Location: Kansas | Couldn't stomach watching his childish speech but from comments I heard afterwards we are all better off financially, the rich are "bad" people and they should pay higher taxes (this from the pres who is shopping for a multi million dollar retirement home with a golf course). We are all safe from terrorism here in the U.S. thus he is emptying all the villains from GITMO and in fact just engineered the release of a very dangerous criminal from a U.S. prison.
Plans to veto everything the GOP throws his way and use his powers of executive action to the max. Oh, and also bragged about having won two elections. Talk about junior varsity.

Don't forget lowering taxes on the middle class while promising free childcare and community college.
Raising taxes on the rich will do no good because they will just take their money to offshore accounts, and find more loopholes to dodge paying those taxes. Loopholes created by his ilk in DC. Those career politicians fall into that "rich" category. They are not going to do a **** thing to cancel their meal ticket.
Also his idea of rich consist of business owners who create jobs. Yes, they make 6-7 digits, but that's what it costs to do business.

He knows darn good and well a republican congress isn't going to pass much of the crap he was peddling last night. That's juts fine by him. he was merely setting the stage and talking points for their attacks against the Republicans for the 2016 elections.
Now the Dems can say "See...we WANTED to give you all of these great Free things and tax breaks...but the mean old rich selfish Republicans hate poor people and they said no!".
Pandering to the lowest common denominator to insure the perpetuation of the democrat voting base.  |
