Location: Savannah, Tennessee | I really enjoy clinics, I feel like it's a good place to get good information, drills and problem solving. We have a local trainer that does a couple of 2 day clinics each year and I really enjoy them, and feel like I get a lot out of them. However, I am looking to try some others too.
Who are your favorites? I went to a Connie Combs last spring and it was really disappointing to be honest. I don't feel like I got much of anything out of it for the $400. |

| I'll bump this.
I have been to (2) Martha Josey clinics at her ranch. Not real great 1 on 1 BUT big confidence booster and gave me drive to want to go and do when I got home. Good vacation lol. I have also been to (1) Clinton Anderson clinic and it was AWESOME. |

Location: Wasagaming, Manitoba, Canada | Ryan Lovendahl. He's incredibly talented with horses and amazing with people. He can really help people find their confidence and watching the transformation over the two days is so cool to see each time. I've hosted several clinics and have people who just keep their name permanently on the clinic list.
I know for me I'm pretty much one big ball of anxiety and had zero confidence in myself or my horse, his program and clinics made such a difference for me I can't even put it into words.
My favorite part of his clinics is that he's able to tailor it specifically to each horse and rider, whether you have a colt or a rodeo horse...or are new to the sport or a seasoned competitor you will get lots out of it. Really can't say enough about them.

Location: Probably On the Road to the Next Barrel Race! | Clinton Anderson taught me things I didn't know after 20 years of messing with horses, foundational stuff that has been pivotal in my ability to train a horse. Before Clinton, I rode horses other people had trained. Since my first Clinton clinic about 7 years ago, I have trained my own barrel horses. Other clinicians may be the best for barrel racing, but Everyone who runs barrels should go to a Clinton clinic at LEAST once. Best money I ever, ever spent.
As for barrels, Ed Wright and Deana Kirkpatrick are great. Martha Josey clinics are for newbies, mostly. |

Ditto to Clinton on horsemanship. He's black and white and doesn't sugar coat anything. I've been to two of his clinics in the past 10 years and definitely worth the money!
For barrel racing I have been to several and learned something from each one. I really want to try a Dena Clinic, especially if I could go to one where she has Ian Francis (Clinton's mentor) with her. |

 Own It and Move On
Location: The edge of no where | I'd second Paul Humphrey - he's awesome at getting a horse broke and has some great exercises. Love Ed Wright - if that's not a proven program, I don't know what is. It's a bit out of your way, but if you ever get a chance to ride with Charlotte (Cunningham) Edwards - She's doing clinics in TX now and is AMAZING!
Josey's - very much geared at beginners. |

He's awesome. It's also really cool to see him get on everyones horse and instantly be able to make them look really good and read them. |
