I HATE it. This is the 2nd time it came in. I sent it back in October and it still isn't right. The only thing I like about it is the tooling I asked for. The stirrups were suppose to be forward hung but there not that's one thing he was suppose to fix when I sent it back the first time. When I asked him about fixing about it he said he wasn't loosing anymore money on it and wasnt going to build another one like it agin. Look at the pics and see if maybe I'm just being too picky. Maybe I'm OCD but the cross inlay looks awful.

whats the make?
I wouldn't be happy about a cross inlay. Why'd you have to send it back the first time?

To fix the cross he originally had in it and fix the stirrups.

the cross was worse before?!
I don't think you're OCD. You pay a lot for these saddles and when they don't come out right it's frustrating.

Oh yeah. It was tiny crooked and wasn't close to being proportional.

Any saddle maker can make the stirrups forward hung, and it takes max 1 hr.
All you have to do is get a piece of leather, nylon, whatever wrap it around the stirrup leather at the top by the tree and have someone screw the ends into the tree under the fender where the front concho goes through.
I personally would find a different leather worker to hobble the stirrups forward that way I can wait while they do it

I don't like it either....it looks like a Kindergartener cut the cross. I guess the good thing is your butt will hide it while you're riding!

I'd post on his wife's fb page and ask if the cross looked crooked to her. Bet he'll be willing to re-do that seat if he is publicly outed for his less than stellar work. The quality on these saddles have never been great though. Not sure what you were expecting....

That cross is waaaayy off! Not acceptable! I would make him either give you a full refund, and return the saddle. Or refund you the cost of fixing it and have somone else do it, and I he dosen't, contact the better business bureau, and have an atty send him a legal letter. This is bad business!!

Saddle crosses on seats look dumb period because of the way the seat curves. I would get a new seat done and call it good.
