Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | Just wanted to post one last time about his topic. And I want to say a very sincere thank you to each and every board member that has reached out to me both on my threads on here, via private message, facebook, and even text.
Every one of you is appreciated, even if I didn't come right out and say it. Hysterectomy is done and over with. Been up in a room for a couple of hours. Nurses are kind of a pain because they arent tracking treatment meds. Surgeon wants me on robaxin because of my back, but since its not the standard, they are fighting me a little bit. Its ok. I can manage until I get home where I left my prescription.
Hubby was able to be there when I got up to my room. I was crying in the recovery room and had the poor nurses worried. It hit may so very hard when I woke up that all I wanted was to see his face and hear his voice, and when he wasnt there when I woke up, it just got to me. I wasnt expecting him to be waiting for me upstairs though and gosh what a releif to see him when I got wheeled in. The recovery room nurses did let me know he was here and I am pretty sure I kept asking them over and over again.
I did get some zofran and ate more then I thought I would, and so far everything is staying down. Pain is bearable.
So...is it ok that I ask for a few prayers that this does the trick and I can move on with my life? This was a complete hysterectomy. Unfortunately the adhesions on my colon are pretty bad. They worked on those but said that was it, no more surgeries for the adhesions because it would make them even worse. So a few prayers that we can keep them under control would be appreciated. |

I agree with the rolling out of bed but with your bad back I would think you are already doing that.

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | I've mastered the art of rolling off the bed.... along with the art of forcing the nurses to take me seriously by disconnecting wires. It's right on the **** chart what the surgeon wanted but they think they know better I guess..... |

| It will get better once you get home. My doc told me next am that he had never seen anyone with the amount of endometriosis that i had, not to,mention fibroid tumors and the endometiral cyst. He said he almost had to cut me open to do everything. Once i got home and the hormones leveled out. I felt really good. I forgot how long i did not ride. But i did like you did it on the off season, just like i did my back and neck surgery. |
