What are your thoughts on stoli? Good barrel prospects? Or better track prospects? if I bred to him it would be a race bred mare. how is his resale?

I have heard Tres Seis on Stoli mares is a good cross for the track...what do y'all think about Stoli on a Tres Seis/Corona Cartel mare for the track?

I looked at some race sale results and the Stoli's appeared to do well. I couldn't tell you what his yearling average is though, maybe someone here can :)

Okay in 2014 they averaged $16,200 based on the sales reported to Stallionesearch.

I also like that he is FF, so send to the track if that doesn't work out there will still be a good demand for barrels.

Theres a long list of successful Treis Seis x Stoli crosses.... Ever heard of Ochoa, all time top $$$ winning Quarter Horse - Ochoa's sire, champion Tres Seis out of the Stoli mare Stolis Fortune.  Here's another one off the top of my head.  TRIPLE VODKA SI 101 2009 Stallion ** 2011 TQHA CHAMPION ** By TRES SEIS & out of  NEWPORT LILLY by STOLI

It's an awesome cross.

I think the stud fee is the only thing that keeps lots of barrel racers from breeding to him.  He's the real deal.  Top 2 earning QH, Ochoa (broodmare sire)  and Stoli's Winner.  Stoli my Guy (Broodmare sire), if you follow barrel races at all, you know this mare.  Frenchman's Future (broodmare sire) - Jordan has done very well with him this year.

I have a filly by him and she's soo much fun.  Fun on the pattern, very cool heeling and just started her heading and she's pretty shiny at that as well.  She's very cowy and smart.  Not the most laid back horse I've had, but she's pretty quiet until you point her down the ally, then it's all business.

I did know about them with Treis Seis on Stoli mares, just wondered if it was a good bet the other way around :)

And I have severely hi jacked this thread. Sorry to the OP, but I hope this info has helped you too :)

I will hijack the thread too. How would stoli cross with my merridoc mare? Whiteboy, what's your opinion?

I have a Stoli yearling and will be breeding to him again this year. I think Stoli is amazing, and as a bonus the stud farm has been excellent to work with. I have had some mare issues, and they have been very helpful. From my experience they take great care of their mare owners.

I agree that his stud fee is likely the reason not many barrel racers breed to him. As far as resale, breed him to a nice mare and you'll have a high valued foal. I think that breeding a proven race mare to him is the best option. The highest value will probably be as a race prospect as a yearling (depending on the dam's catalog page), but I'd still pay into Future Fortunes as a barrel prospect as well.

I am breeding a Shawne Bug daughter to him this year. Barrel racers are taking notice of him. I know of a few big name futurity trainers who have booked mares to him this year.

I have never ridden a Stoli so I have no experience there, but I work for a vet and we are at two different race barns every week and we dread going into the Stoli filly's stalls at both barns. Every single one of them kicks, bites, strikes.

Get of his have been showing up in the barrel pen for at least 6 years now. First one I saw was in 2009. They are really fast, not real consistent. Turning with the speed seems to be a problem for the ones I have seen. They have definitely not caught on with the Futurity trainers. Maybe they are late bloomers. The only ones I have liked are out of Stoli mares crossed on FG or FG son. I would vote better on the track. JMO from the ones I've see.

I have a Bully daughter out of a Stoli daughter and I love her. She's booked to Corona Caliente this year. We are also breeding our MJP daughter to Stoli and are super excited about that! I'd love to take one more mare to stoli but I'm out of mares. Lol

Chad would like to thank everyone who has booked their mare to stoli for the 2015 breeding season. Hart Farms would also like to thank all the people who continue to breed with us year after year. Your business is appreciated.
