I saw another post about tickets for NFR but I have a few more questions. When is the best time to start shopping for tickets? There are six of us going and we would like to sit together. We're planning to go the first weekend. I don't see much out there for sale now. Any advice is appreciated.

We went for the first time last year and it is something that we will do again. Pretty sure you can start purchasing tickets online in May.

We only needed 2 seats so it was easier - I purchased through Stub Hub in November and we were 18 rows back from the first barrel the last Friday and 4 rows back and a little before the timer on the last performance. I am sure that with purchasing earlier you would be able to get tickets sooner.

We did a package round trip air 4 nights at NY NY and the rodeo tickets thrown in about 2500 per person. Then there is the shopping- add according to how disciplined you are. LOL

It will become your next vacation destination- even if you don't gamble.

Get a REAL seating chart that doesn't just show the sections but ROWS!! We paid almost $275 per ticket the beginning of November from Stub Hub. The guy said I had great tickets by the first barrel. Um......lets just say I didn't have anyone kicking the back of our seats! We were at the VERY TOP!!  Everyone in our row paid at least $300 plus each so I just started laughing, what else can you do? Made a great story, but I learned my lesson. LOOK FOR ROWS!

Thanks for the information. Where is a good place to stay that is close to the strip and not too far from Thomas and Mack?

We waited till about three weeks before rodeo. Tickets prices went down a lot. If you have patience to wait you can usually get them cheaper
