| Why was Woodbridge unraced? Anyone have one that's doing good running barrels? |

He had wobblersÂ
hummmm....wonder is that hereditary? I've read that it could be-just curious-considering breeding to him. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I think some may be and some may be from injury. Never heard of anyone getting a baby from him that had it. Streaking Ta Fame is my pick though |

Location: Desert Land | There have been some folks that have said they had Woodbridge colts with wobblers. There was a thread here on BHW about it a few years ago.

| If you have questions about Woodbridge you need to contact the owners and get the whole story. Rumors are just that.
I have a beautiful colt out of Woodbridge and he is perfect.

| We have had lots of Woodbridge foals at the farm where I work and have NEVER had any wobblers. They are big pretty foals, and are very correct. Most, if not all, wobblers I have seen over the years were caused by injury.
They are quite a few of his babies out making names for themselves in the barrel pen: Woodb Streaking Lil, 10th at the BFA Juvenile, 3rd at the Classic Equine Futurity, 4th in the long go of the LG Pro Classic, Dashin Miss Gray, 4th Classic Equine Slot race, WoodbSmokinFame, BBR Slot Race Champion, Dashing Wood Bar, ARA barrel Champion, Jackson Hall Memorial Derby Champion, and many more. |

I am your favorite rash and you know it
Location: Being pushed over the edge, NM | The "Wobblers" rumor is just that, a RUMOR, unfortunately it was started here on BHW and spread because apparently if it's on the internet, it must be true. Woodbridge was unraced due to injury, he does not have wobblers, he does not throw wobblers, and if anyone ever claims either, they are suffering from wobblers between the ears. He is healthy, good minded, is a champion sire, and as I just saw him and his pasture full of outstanding babies just a few days ago, I can assure you, the only wobblers associated with Woodbridge exist here, in rumor. |

I thought that last time this came up big it was cleared up-that he had an injury that gave him wobblers. Not the genetic type. Correct me if I am wrong as this has been brought up about every year. |

| appycans I could not agree with you more! I've had 3 Woodbridge foals all are as correct as can be. I know of many many others that are sound as well. As with any stallion there are going to be exceptions or cases that all is not perfect. I don't believe Wobbler is a hereditary condition (not sure). Go to the stallion owners and ask them straight up and skip going to BHW forums. 2 thumbs up for Woodbridge. |

Correct. Just gets my hackles up when an outright lie about a great horse has gotten legs through baseless rumors from internet experts. |

| Honestly-I'm sorry I even asked the question! Did not know it was posted a year ago-Think I'll just tend to my own knitting as I've always done. I truly wish I could just delete my question.....and this whole post! |

LOL you must be kind of new (I mean that in a good way), don't let it bother you. No one likes their favorite stallion discussed in any negative way and the truth is, anyone could find something negative about every stallion out there. Shrug it off. If you like him, I think there is a good market for him. Search button is handy for previous topics, but you sometimes get new opinons/views. Feeds would be a big one as everyone was on the ADM bandwagon not long ago and now, not so much. |

| Interesting thing about Woodbridge. There has been no Woodbridges in any major Barrel horses sale last year or this year so far. However they have been pretty successful in the race sales averaging $11,796 over the last 8 years and in 2014 they averaged $20,641. That in my opinon is a pretty good average for a $2500 breed fee. That certain exceeds the 3 or 4 times the stud fee rule.

My question would be to the people who are suggesting he has wobblers, wouldn't they have put him down by now? Most genetic wobblers have to be put down by 2-3yrs old. You can't tell me they can collect semen on a horse with wobblers.
MoliB - I LOVE watching that mare of yours run. I have a daughter of FWF that I think would cross excellent on him. I would breed to him in a heartbeat. |
