Location: Texas | This young woman is an inspiration to everyone! It was great to watch her ride at The American, to hear her story, see her positivity and will to succeed. Amberley is a school teacher, and Fallon Taylor has started a GoFundMe account for Amberley to purchase a tank chair, to better assist her in day-to-day tasks.

Β What exactly is a tank chair?
It is the most amazing wheel chair contraption for outdoor people. A suped up wheel chair that goes almost every where. It is equipped with tracks to maneuver over tough terrain. My dad is 78% paralyzed in one leg and 28% in the other. He is an avid outdoors man and struggles with mobility while hunting and fishing. I wish I could afford one for him! |

I think they are like wheel chairs on steroids...and tracks like a tank has instead of wheels.
They look bulky and awkward for barn chores but may be helpful on the uneven terrain like that.

Wonder how expensive they are if Fallon started a Go Fund Me instead of just buying her one if she wants her to have it? (Not trying to be snarky...I just get a little cynical of all the GoFundME stuff.)

If you can find a used one they are around $13,000. I think brand new the start at like $15,00 to $18,00 and go up with accessories. |

Location: Texas | If I'm not mistaken, they are trying to raise $30,000. The chair will also have stand up capability. |

Location: The edge of no where | I'm skeptical of go fund me stuff....but this is legit. I just about cried watching her run yesterday. I"ve followed her page for a long long time. Wheelchair Wed are awesome. She's such a great example of someone that doesn't know the word quit or I can't. She didn't ask for this, it's something that would make her day to day life easier so Fallon set it up. I donated, I only hope that if I were in her shoes I would have half the grace and courage that she's shown. She's one of my heroes. |

My dad's insurance doesn't. They consider it a luxury and not a necessity. |
