Since it's already March, I'm assuming alot of you guys are starting to get in shape for rodeo season. What is everyone doing and how is it coming along for you. My plan is:
1. 5-6 small meals a day, protein & low carb veggie
2. Walking, but now stepping up to 2 a days. Wlking 4 miles & tae bo
3. Stick to this monday thru friday
4. 100oz of water

Starting week 4 of this and so far I've lost 10lbs and definitely getting more cardiovascular fitness!

What type of recipes are you using? I'm curious, I can't never find anything to make that is "healthy" and tastes good.

I have lost 11.1 lbs in 1 week. I'm not taking any magic potions or pills. Working out 1 hour a day 5 times a week with high intensity workouts and eating 6 small meals a day. 2 meals are a protein shake made by PPN and the others are Chicken, turkey, fish, buffalo, egg whites with a veggie and either yam or brown rice for carbs. Drinking 1 gallon of water a day. I am NOT hungry or starving myself either.

I am following a plan made by a local gym that puts on these challenges to lose 20 lbs in 6 weeks. If you do exactly what they tell you to do and not cheat, the weight just falls off. Today is the first week weigh in and they are having people that are losing 12, 15, 18 and even 20 lbs in the first week.

That is what I need. I need someone to tell me what to eat...lol. Otherwise I end up just always going back to the old faithfuls....haha! I will stick with something for awhile and then I run out of ideas so then I give up.

I started Thrive and it has really curved all my cravings! I'm eating less, healthier, drinking water. . I'm motivated to do things. I LOVE it. Losing about 4# a week on average.

A lot of the reason that people lose a lot of weight early on is due to
loss of water weight. If you are low carb or low calorie, it means you're body will be storing less glycogen in its muscles, and with it, less water. Then the weight loss will start to slow down.

I work out 3 days a week lifting weights, try to hit between 110-130 grams of protein, and fill in the rest of my calories with carbs and fat. I eat anywhere from 1200-2000 calories a day (it varies by day). I've been slowly leaning out while my weight fluctuates around the same number.

I try to ear meats and veggies for the most part, but I've been pretty bad lately about eating junk so my micronutrients probably areally not being met.

Sorry about the weird words. My phone insists on putting its own words in place of mine.

I'm really struggling with my weight right now. I cut out sodas, fast food, a lot of bread carbs and have been eating a healthy breakfast every morning. I also started a high intensity kickboxing two to three times a week.
However, it seems like I've gained weight. Even the scale says so. I'm mortified while I'm at kickboxing, as I'm the biggest person in there and can barely keep up with the exercises (its a group thing). The shot to my self esteem is really making me not want to go anymore.

ETA: I sold my horse, so I'm getting ready to wear a bikini in Hawaii, not rodeo!

So this year I am taking my fitness to a whole new level. Last year I lost 20 pounds and this year I want to do a bikini competition! My workouts are an hour kickboxing with cardio and weights mixed in followed by a very clean diet.
Breakfast 4am pre workout- 3 eggs whites with 1/2 cup processed oats with cinnamon and a tsp of vanilla extract made into pancakes with almond butter and honey "syrup" Tbsp of each
Snack 1 after my work out 7 am - protein shake, 15 almonds, and an apple
Lunch 10 am- 4 oz protein of choice, chicken, shrimp, turkey, or white fish, 1/2 brown rice or 3 oz sweet potato, cup lettuce with light balsamic, about 2 tsp.
Snack 2 1pm - piece of fruit and 4oz protein, same choices as above.
Snack 3 3 pm - 4 tbsp of greek yogurt, tbsp honey, cinnamon mixed together, and 2 hard boiled eggs.
Dinner 6 pm - same a lunch. 4oz protein of choice, 1/2 cup cooked brown rice or 3 oz sweet potato, 1 cup lettuce with light balsamic about 2 tsp.

I am never hungry and I am able to work out hard and ride horses. I do take a preworkout which keeps me pumped all day.

I gain weight also when I work out because I'm gaining muscle. You probably are too. Don't use a scale - use a tape measure!

Relax. You are doing great. Working out can cause inflammation, which causes water retention and therefor weight gain. Just keep doing what you're doing.

Also weight isn't so much of an issue as lbm vs fat mass. You can be lean and still weigh a good chunk. Don't focus solely on scale weight.

Are you walking 4 miles a day or a week?  I've been a slug all winter so I'm needing to get going.  I walked a mile last night and was tired.

^^^Exactly! I gain weight when I work out too but my jeans fit better and I firm up all over. Don't worry what the scale says...notice the physical changes in your body and keep doing what you're doing. Don't get discouraged at your kickboxing class...you're already kicking butt over all the girls at home on the couch so way to go! If you just started your body will take a while to get comfortable but stick with it and see how awesome and strong and fit your body becomes after 6 months!
