Location: Purcell Ok | I could see it happening, depending on how far down the mare was sewn.
When AIing we generally don't remove the caslicks. Some of the mares we can breed without a speculum because they aren't as closed as others.
However if your mare was covered you might want to see if there was any damage done to her, like tearing the caslicks and have it repaired. |

| When it happened we checked her over and she did not tear. Figured he didn't get her, she had a little discharge but nothing major, no damage. Now it's 8 months later and thinking she is looks bred. Going to vet this month |

| Yes, will ask vet if it is best to open now or wait until she is closer (if she is bred). |

| Well, since she wasn't torn I figured he didn't get her since she has a caslicks I didn't think it possible for her to have been bred without some sort of damage. He couldn't have been in with her for more than 5 or 10 minutes before he was found and removed. This will acutally be a blessing if she is bred, so I would not have wanted to get rid of the pregnancy anyways. |

Location: You never know where I will show up...... | A friend of mine bought a mare off the track as a 3 year old that ended up being pregnant. Seller denied any knowledge of it because the mare was sewn up and actually racing at the time she'd have been bred. But somehow it happened LOL. |

| Taking her to the vet in two weeks to get checked. I am almost certain she is in foal, really feeling movement in that belly. |
