Will someone hold my hand while I freak out!? I haven't been to a Chiro in YEARS... And the last time I went I cried like a baby.

LOL

Just curious how often every one here goes?

My midwife suggested I get regular adjustments while pregnant to help baby position and grow him/her self naturally and to prevent baby from being hung on a hip or rib or anything during labor... I'm halfway there already but my Midwife said my back and my hips were definitley out of whack and scheduled me an appointment for this Saturday... I'm scared....

My daughter is a pregnancy and pediatric chiro as well as an animal chiro! She loves it. I get adjusted at least once a month. I always look forward to it, although if I am really out the next day I am a little muscle sore.

I hope I feel better after the adjustment. I didn't realize how out I was until she took a pic of my legs... LOL One is higher than the other by a full knee cap BAHAHA

I guess I need to tell SO I will need a full body massage from him and breakfast in bed the next day! (HA!

I am not pregnant but I LOVE going to the chiropractor. Getting past your neck cracking is a little iffy but the relief that I feel when I stand up is AMAZING. I would go more often if I could!

I feel like I need to wear ear plugs you guys LOL

I can watch a horse have surgery. I can eat lunch with one hand and assist a vet with doctoring a cow with the other... but people.... Nope. I can't do it.

I have many piercing's that popped and crunched and those didn't hurt me... Just thinking about hearing my bones and joints pop makes me sick...

I go about once a month and LOVE it!  In fact, I was just there today!  I get really bad headaches if I don't get regularly, my neck gets all screwed up from staring at a computer all day.  The place I go was just one doctor for a long time and he doesn't not manually adjust - just uses the little jackhammer type thing on my spine (that sounds painful, but it doesn't "crack" you and it is more like a massage).  They added a new doctor there and I've switched to him and he does manually adjust my neck.  I was a little freaked out at first, but it feels so good!  You will not regret making an appointment!

I went when I was pregnant because I was having some severe pain in my lower hips, etc. I was amazed how much better I felt. I usually only go when I know I'm out.

I love the chiropractor.  I try and go once a month.  I like to find one that uses heat, or a massager before adjusting because I adjust a lot better that way.  If you've got a good Chiro--you won't feel the neck adjustment.  It'll just sound REALLY scary.  When I start getting frequent headaches I visit my Chiro and I walk out feeling like a million bucks.

I go once week.  I love that my chiropractor is just right across from my office in our little office complex.  He also does acupuncture and no, it doesn't really hurt.  You can feel the needles sometimes when they first go in but it's really not that bad.

I would love to find one that specializes in pregnancy! My husband and I go monthly. I really don't have too much pain, but my hips tend to rotate and they keep them in line! Mine never has hurt to get adjusted. I'm 30 weeks along now and they have tables where they can drop the part under your belly so I can still get adjusted.
They even said a lot of people bring in their babies to be adjusted because the birthing process and being cramped in the womb can cause them to have issues.... It makes sense, but idk?

Thanks for reminding me to make an appointment!

I go about once a month, mainly for my SI joint and my neck but on occassion I have other things that need worked on. I love going and would/should probably go more often, but my insurance only covers 12 visits per year and I really don't want to pay full price unless I absolutely have to. I am 25 weeks pregnant now and going monthly helps my hips so much. I also took my daughter when she was first born and it is amazing how much it helped her with colic.

This is a little OT, but if you can find alkaline water start drinking some now. My chiro recommended it to me. He said that babies most times are born with more acid stomachs and the alkaline water really helps balance that out. I started drinking it myself towards the end of my pregnancy and through nursing and later mixed her formula when I couldn't nurse anymore. You will be surprised how much more comfortable they are.

I've heard this as well. My Midwife said this was also an option when baby gets here but she suggested that if the baby has an uncomplicated birth I should wait until the baby is a bit older and then have a Pediatrician look at baby first before taking him/her to a Chiro. Makes sense I guess but I had never heard that you could take a baby before until she told me.
