I purchased my mare a few years ago and absolutely love her.. problem is I don't recognize much of anything close up on her papers cause I know next to nothing about NCHA and cutting/cow horses. Does anyone know more than me about these lines other than the tiny bit of information allbreedpedigree gives on a few that had SI info and what LITTLE info I can find on google that her sire competed NCHA, but I can't find any results (cause I don't know where to look). Thanks in advance for helping me with my curiosity.

Here's her allbreed link:

All I know is Docs Quoixte (sp?) has produced some jam up barrel horses. I also know Skipper W was always a love or hate type line from what I hear but great all around type horse.

Sorry not much help

Doc quiote is a world champ hall of fame sire, and doc hickory is a world champion sire in the ncha.
I have a gelding I'm currently running that is doc quiote, doc bar bred. Very catty hunts the barrels. Love him!

Both of these mares are bred like your mare is on the bottom side.
The first one listed produced my #1 head horse, and the bottom one has COA in cutting and is a really nice mare.
Her 2014 filly is really nice. Very athletic horses.

I don't see much "cow" breeding on the bottom. Not saying they don't work cows with them, but not really known for cow working accomplishments.  The top is more cow breeding.

Thank you all for your replies. I know more now than I have for two years. She's one of the best horses I've sat on and just wanted to know more about her, but not real up on cutting horses and such.. I know the more "normal" barrel lines that we see more often and some of the more "famous" cutting lines (Peptoboonsmal, High Brow Cat, ect) but didn't know much about who she was out of.

THANK Y'ALL!!!

There is A LOT to like about her breeding, top and bottom. As far as winnings, NCHA stuff I am no help. Now for a day-to-day working, ranch horse, many folks would love to call her theirs.

Well High Brow Cat's sire is High Brow Hickory who is out of Docs Hickory :)

Both of the Doc Quixote and Docs Hickory lines are good cow foundation lines. I've loved all of my horses and horses that I have rode from those lines. They are very smart, catty and athletic!
