Looking for a really good herb supplement for my mare. She really gets back sore and the regumate does not seem to help. Any ideas will help. Thanks

Well i will tell you my story, i tried silver lining herbs mare moods with my mare. Now my mare is not a witchy b!tch (she dont squeal, kick, bite, strike), doesnt get sore, doesnt get stupid, she just pees every 5 minutes it seems like and it drives me absolutely crazy! Everyone tells me you are so lucky your mare is so nice, but to me the peeing is just as bad. So i decided to try the silver lining herbs mare mood because she refused to eat mare magic. I started this in October 2014.

Well she ate the mare moods just fine and i noticed by the next day she was way better. So i was thinking score!! Well....i fed it everyday like it recommends and about 3 weeks in I noticed she looked and acted like she was very tired, she looked like she was on drugs lol, her reactions were delayed, she was just flat out tired. Well about 3 days later i was watching her and she was just standing there relaxing and all of a sudden her head started getting lower and lower and lower to where her nose was touching the ground and her knees buckled, like she was going to lay down but then that would make her wake up and she would stand back up. Watched her for a little bit more, and she did it again. She basically had narcolepsy, she was not sleeping at all. This mare has NEVER had a issue like this before, so i immediately called the vet, caught her on video doing what she was doing. Vet came out, tested her reflexes, did some balance tests with her everything was great, he drew some blood, took a fecal, then he asked me what i was feeding her and if i had added anything new. Told him what i was feeding her and how long she had been getting it and then i said the only new thing i added was the mare moods. He told me to stop feeding it to her, and I was already suspecting it was the mare moods. Well blood results, fecal came back everything was a ok. By that time she had been off the mare moods for about 3 days and she already seemed better, eyes werent heavy, much brighter, had more energy. By about the 5 day mark she was back to her normal self and SLEEPING! Has been perfectly fine and normal, sleeping ever since, so considering it was the only thing i changed and the only thing i took away and within less than a week she was completely back to normal and has not had any issues since, im pretty confident in saying it was the mare moods and so is the vet.

But this stuff worked so well in making her heats shorter and less peeing i wanted to keep trying it. She hadnt had any since October 2014 and i started it again in January 2015 (we have had unusually nice weather and most mares started coming in heat in January in my area). So now I only feed it to her for 5 days in a row, start as soon as she is in heat and stop after 5 days (normally she is in heat for a good 5 to 7 days, feeding her this cuts it down to 4 days and even by the fourth day she isnt even peeing anymore but i still feed one extra day just in case). By feeding it for such a short time, she is perfectly fine, no narcolepsy not issues at all. So for my mare, the silver lining mare moods works...worked a little to well feeding it the recommended way, my mare apparently cant handle her herbs lol. But feeding it the way i feed it now works beautifully. I am still considering having a marble put in her though so that way she wont come into heat at all, but for now this certainly helps.

If your mare is back sore it may not be a "mare" issue. It could be something else. I also have a sore backed mare and we used Silver Lining Kidney and it helped immensly
