I think it is called magic seat, the device that has stirred up controversy with youth being strapped in to the saddle on these high powered horses |

Is that something that can break away? If not it sounds very foolish. I mean people wear special boots that can't fit through a stirrup so they don't get hung-up that way.... only to strap themselves in?

as far as magic seat it is Velcro Unless you have tried it then don't judge too harshly It is a tool like all tools wise ones know when to use and not use and unwise don't  |

Have you ever ridden a Tammy Fischer treeless? That for dang sure will keep your arse strapped down- I even felt like I was "cheating" when I rode one of those with a tough running mare I had once- I wonder what else is going to evolve from this arena record? Very interesting progression in the sport of barrel racing- not saying I am knocking it- just saying I am observing it.. |

It does not make any difference if he was riding with a bareback pad, he crossed the finish line in the shortest amount of time. |
