| Looking to hear if anyone else has used Adequan on their horse and did you see results, etc. Did my first injection today on my 27 year old mare ... any and all opinions welcome. Thank you. |

Location: Sunny So Cal | I use Adequan and have for probably almost 10 years. I feel like it did help my horse and it also helped preserve her joints. I did the 7 doses as the loading dose that my vet recommended and then did the once a month shot after that as a maintenance. The first horse I used it on is 20 years old now and the vet is surprised at how well her joints are and that she still has space in between then for the amount of competing she did. She still acts like an 8 year old. My horses get Adequan and Legend. Pleased with how they all move and feel |

| thank you for your reply. found out today my mare is not as old as originally thought but is still a senior citizen...her right knee appears to be the issue .. not bad but certainly enough that it is beginning to create problems...I am just starting out in barrels using her .. no serious competition but just to help me learn what I'm doing...the vet also game me instruction on getting her back in shape which will take about 4 months...said we can evaluate her for that after she is in shape...this mare has been my biggest teacher in all things horse and have always wanted to use her for barrels...anyway, thanks again for your reply..appreciate the feedback. |

| Holy smokes .. the adequan is almost $100 per dose! Well, if I have to do it again in the future, I'll definitely ask about it. Thanks again for all the input. |

No, Adequan is $39-$42 per dose, according to the prices I saw this morning. A 50 ml bottle is $399 at SmartPak. Not sure what the price is at other places, I just happen to have gotten an email about that one. |

| I use Adequan I.M. on my good mare. I think it helps to prolong her need for injections. She does already have arthritis in her hocks, but she has a whole lot of other joints too, SO, I Adequan to try to help maintain her. I also give her shot of Legend IV every Friday morning. Great results. |

No way. I got a 7 dose series for like $300 a few weeks ago. Also, I think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. |

what kind of schedule did you have them on when using Adequan and Legend? I just got a bottle of Pentosan Gold, should I also use Legend? |

100.00 a dose is financial rape. I get a box of 7 adequan for 275.00 shipped. |

I would see how you like the gold first. Since having my horses on the gold I was able to stop legend. |

I agree, that's an obscene markup. |
