We just purchased a horse that is very thin skinned. She has a little bit of hair loss on her neck and her back is flaky. I know that the previous owners bathed her with oatmeal shampoo, but what other options do I have to keep her hair and skin hydrated and not flaking off?

Spray her with Vetricyn. It helped my mare when he skin was dry.

I used it twice a day.

I also used the Santa Fe spray that has conditioners and sunblock in it. Helped her out a lot!

Renew Gold. The coconut in the formula really help with this.

Premier Rose Conditioner - go read about it and read the reviews. It is awesome. I get mine from Teskeys. Order the concentrate and mix it a little stronger than the directions. It will last a while.

Thanks guys! This is a first for me. I have had horses with allergies and rub the hair off, but the vet thinks this is just because she is so thin skinned that she gets irritated easy.
