| A horse is BY a stallion and OUT of a mare. Example: BY the stallion Wet Willy, OUT of the mare Sheza A Street Walker, who is BY Trigger.
I have seen one ad after another saying the horse is by a some stallion. I automatically assume any other information on the ad is also incorrect. Learn the correct terminology, please. |

| While we are on this, most breeds of horses' "birthdays" are January 1. They are not coming two. They will not be two in April. They may have been born in April but they turned 2 on January 1st. PERIOD. |

| I have noticed here that few people say filly colt-thankful for that! Colt denotes a male foal so, if you want to get real technical, you shouldn't even say stud colt. |
