Both the following people will be given these horses as 2YOs to train, pattern and run heads up against each other in their 4YO year.
Who would you pick to win?
#1-A top futurity trainer/barrel racer with a Dash for cash great grandson as the sire crossed with a proven barrel mare.
#2-The average barrel racer with a Dash Ta Fame grandson on top and whatever magical cross you wish on the bottom.
#3-The "half bobcat" thread is just for attention and the cat doesnt really exist...

Location: PNW | Is the "average" barrel racer actually average in skill? Or, has the "average" barrel racer just not had the same competitive opportunities as the top trainer? If the "average" barrel racer is just average in every way; I would go with the top trainer. If the "average" racer is only average because of lack of showcasing opportunities; I would go with I think. |

Location: Montana | Like someone else said, too many variables. I would like to know how each horse is a bred, top and bottom, as the horse might have Dash For Cash on his papers, but also have a lot of no name buckers too, same with the DTF grandson. Also I'd like to know how much the average trainer is considered average, as there are a lot of good trainers out there that don't futurity or go to the top futurities or haven't made it to the NFR or something similar. Also, the age of the horses, and how much training each has had done. |

Location: Golden Gulf Coast of Texas | If #2 had DTF on the bottom side instead of the top side I would pick them. It might be hard to get a top futurity rider to get on just a DFC grandson with all the choices they have these days! |
