Does anyone else want to beat the crap out of them or stick toothpicks in their ears when they hear them attempt to sing?

I love the old stuff and some of the new stuff.  I like some of FGL's songs but not all.  Listen to the words of their song Dirt, it's a good song.  However, I would always pick George Strait over these guys.

I could not agree more with your sentiments!!!!  Go check out the Texas Country music/ Red Dirt Country music scene ... Bands like the Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Canada and the Departed, Granger Smith, Wade Bowen, Reckless Kelly, Cody Johnson Band, Casey Donahew Band, Corb Lund, Micky and the Motorcars, Kimberly Dunn ..... Seriously great singer songwriters with real talent!

I didn't mind them at first, and then someone gave my husband a C.D. and everytime we go anywhere it pops on.  Now yes, I want to shove a rusty forks in my ears.

They are horrible. I'd rather listen to regular pop instead of pickup truck pop.

I agree. 'Country' all sounds exactly the same these days.

Blah blah beer. Blah blah moonshine. Blah blah river. Blah blah hey girl. Blah blah big truck. Blah blah drinkin. Blah blah truck. Blah blah girl.

This video sums up my opinion on the matter: http://youtu.be/WySgNm8qH-I

I've been saying that since their first hit! I can't stand them, I have never herd someone fake such a bad southern draw while singing in my life!!!
