I'm not sure if they add anything to the rabbit pellets. I just buy plain ol' alfalfa pellets at TSC. They're like $13 a bag so it's not like they're expensive. The horse I give them to gets 2lbs twice a day.

Which people   ?    Anything that is bagged in a smaller version will cost more because of packaging   That said are you referring to alfalfa rabbit pellets  or rabbit pellets as in rabbit manure

I get mine from the local mill and a 50# bag is $10. I know the TSC and those are higher and usually  only a 40# bag. I am shocked if bunny food is cheaper than the horse feed.

I've heard of people feeding rabbit pellets because they were smaller, but not because they're any cheaper.

This thread makes me realized how blessed I am to live 20 minutes away fro Ware Milling who makes 10% Alfa-Oats for $7.25 a 50lb bag. But I've never heard of feeding rabbit pellets although it is the same thing and my brain literally never connected that. Smaller pellets but would they get bigger bites to potentially choke on?
