Location: Oklahoma | In the next few years I may get the opportunity to get a foal out of a money earning daughter of Dual Rey. Freckles Playboy and War Leo on the bottom. So what is the best bloodlines to cross them on? What stallion would you cross her on? 14.2hh thick and heavy. Could use a longer stride and taller withers. |

| Corona cartel son. Hands down that would be an awesome cross. They have awesome long strides and really stamp their babies. Plus all the speed you could want and more. Not to mention an amazing work ethic :) |

I have an own daughter of FWF out of an own daughter of Dual Rey/Docs Solano mare and I would never recommend this cross to anyone! I do like her, but she is the absolute hottest and most sensitive horse I've ever had. I bought her as a 5 year old that supposedly just needed to be seasoned a little bit before hitting the rodeos. That was 5 years ago and we have yet to complete the pattern in a competition. I keep her mainly because she and my older gelding are in love. And she is a sweet mare and it would kill me if I sold her and found someone was abusing her because of what she does in the arena. She was extrememly untrusting when I got her. She has grown more trusting, but obviously not enough to complete the pattern. Pressure is nearly impossible for her to handle without entirely checking out on me. She also bucks. The FWF's are know to get on the "hot" side, and you can lope a cutting horse for days. So with this cross, you better have a lot of time to ride one! JMO from experiencing it. Maybe if I would have gotten to start her from a baby it would be different. But I still think she would be hot and sensitive, she just might make a completed pattern at a jackpot though too. |

Docs Solano has to be one of my all time favorites. I'm glad your boys are in love with her :)

Location: Oklahoma | What about something like Perks Alive, Shawne Bug Leo, Blazing Jetolena, Fiestas Gotta Gun, etc? One of my restrictions will probably be breeding to the best stud I can afford so it looks good on her breeding report. So far she's been bred to Cats Quixote Jack, High Brow CD, Peptoboonsmal, Metallic Cat, and Hottish. The High Brow CD has been my favorite if that helps. |

| Tres seis, dash ta fame, or firewaterontherocks....I would say streak of fling but I'd would want some height on the baby.
I'm going to add darkelly to the list as well. I agree with the person that said a Corona Cartel son. The dunn's just purchased a nice son that will be promoted well.

I haven't seen Cartel Success in person, but the ones I've had foals from, except Lock to Load throw smaller foals......King Corona, Too Tough to Catch....not to mention the countless own sons and daughters that I've seen. All I'm saying is that if size is your goal, I'd approach a Corona Cartel cautiously. Corona Cartel himself is not very big. |

I would LOVE a CC out of a dual rey i think that would be such a cool cross, however I dont give a diddly about size and i prefer a short horse.
But Jennifer is right they are shorter, id wounder if the mare is throwing the size? Either way id likly go that direction or Streakin six son my self. |

Well I've just seen around 5 grand get in our barn that were around the 15 mark and up. I'm happy as long as they are 14 hands with shoes on LOL
I'd prefer I larger horse tho so maybe LRQHS is right stay away from corona cartels. Larger horses make my booty look smaller.

| I've got a friend that has a ASOF out of a 14.2 h Peptoboonsmal mare. She is right at 15 h. Has a huge stride and is a sick rope horse. I'd go with a streakin six son, they are all nice, just depends on how much you want to spend. |

Well lets put it this way if you wanna gamble on height and with genetics its always a gamble i'd go with streak of fling hands down. I've heard he is join up tho next year, significantly. |

He is way underpriced right now so that doesn't surprise me.
I did want to mention the it's important to remember height and stride are not the same thing. Shoulder angle has more to do with it than height. That is part of the reason we are seeing several of these 14h horses winning some serious cash, even in huge pens. (just one of My PSA for the day.) |
