Please tell me the good, the bad the ugly. My horse bowed a tendon and its bad. The vet says she needs stem cells to repair the damage.

I had it done 2 years ago too. But it was stifles after surgery.

But I also had a bowed tendon many years ago and it healed fine but I am not sure the extent of the bow. He had a year off.

Had a horse with severe deep digital tendonitis, did stem cell, was competing (reined cowhorse) on him again in less than 10 months.  Has been good since.  Whole heartidly believe it, and would do it again in a heart beat.

I've had it done on my good mare. She was off for 14 months, though she could've likely been back in less than that, but I'm a fraidy cat. So far so good! Just make sure you follow the rehab schedule perfectly, and really, really have that kiddo fit before they see another barrel.

I just had it done for stifles. I'm curious to know the results others have had on stifles. She needed it for repairing and regenerating cartilage. Have no idea yet how long the lay off period is yet. She has had two rounds of it starting 2 months ago so I don't know if it's helped or not yet. Has anyone had any luck with stifles?
