Wow...your thoughts?
He seems a bit thinned skinned and very defensive. Shouldn't he be a bit more pro active and hit the active points of what he is basing his running position on? Instead it seems like he is a bit drama driven. However the lameness side of him may draw some Democrats over.

I think Paul should continue his work in the senate, same as Cruz. If he winds up as the GOP nominee, I would vote for him, but then I would vote for anyone running against Billary.

I honestly get tired of the gotcha moments.......which are all directed towards the republican party........no matter the subject or debate............granted telling the journalist to hush was a little testy but maybe next time he should say hey shut the heck up and let me answer your gotcha questions...........too many times it is a a series of questions that no one can get a word in..........but as usual I am sure Rand Paul just sealed his fate as a president.........but we don't question lets say Harry Reids lying ways about Romeny..........js

IMO, if you have a hard time handling journalists (no matter what their question) you are NOT going to be able to handle Congress and "world leaders".......I will wait for the NEXT candidate....Rand Paul.....it's a "NO" !

Good point. I like how Walker handles surly journalists.....remains calm and unruffled. Seems very comfortable in his own skin. Doesn't get shrill or agitated very easily, but unafraid to fight back at the same time. For sure they will prod and probe and try to find weaknesses, but I think he will handle it. He has so far, I think.

I think it's so funny (sad funny) that we've allowed the Presidential election to become where a normal human is almost unelectable. I truly wonder about presidents from the 80's and earlier and how they would more than likely never be able to make it through the vetting process. Liberals get a litte more wiggle room (Obama did hard drugs) but the GOP candidate has to be white as snow from infancy. I don't even want to think about the great leaders that WOULD have been but because of an indescretion - that the majority of US make -- it's a no. Can't even throw their names in the ring. Kennedy was having full blown affairs IN the White House but people sure don't have an issue supporting his presidency.

Rand told a reporter to "hush" so it's over. Even if Obama did it I would defend it. You interrupt me, I'm going to teach you a little southern respect, ****it.

Andrew Lincoln ( aka Rick Grimes from the walking dead)

That's who should be president, in all his walking dead scripted glory. Lol I mean.. we are like a nation of zombies at this point with all the sheep and non-active voters.

In all seriousness no. We need a pres with soft voice and big stick... not someone who can't remain calm in even moderatly pushy situations.

I just don't think equating telling a reporter to "hush" with pushing the nuke button is really what we should be focusing on here.

That being said, I'm much more attracted to aggressive personalities when I want to get a job done -- whether that job be running the country, my admin assistant, or staying married to me.

Frustrating, isn't it?  This is the GOP in a nutshell.  So paranoid to find someone that the Liberals can't tear limb to limb that we miss out on someone who might have something great to bring to the table.

I think aggression is the wrong word. Because anyone thinking and acting aggressively, is not thinking clearly. We should want a clear minded person as our leader. Not someone 'reacting' in an aggressive manner.

Firm is a better word in my opinion. And I agree with that. But we need a president that can speak what we the people want, without needing to be aggressive. HENCE the big stick. We shouldn't need to be aggressive to get our point across, but we SHOULD be firm, unwavering and unapologetic.

Aggressive is how things get done. Reacting aggressively and being an aggressive person are two completley different things. I wouldn't put someone that tells someone else to "hush" in response to being interrupted in the aggressive reaction column, either.

Perhaps you should watch the video....HE is the one who interrupted her because HE didn't like the way she was "editorializing" (HIS words) or framing her question to him....IMO, he was rude and arrogant.......

-Shrug- There are a ton of other reasons I wouldn't vote for him that are my opinion alone. But then, I don't think the press is accurate. They munipulate and twist words so often, I don't even see the point of them 'doing live' anything.. they just twist it with their questions anyways.

Also, I didn't compare him to someone who pushed the nuke button. But I think he let them ruffel his feathers, and he shouldn't. Poker face. It's a southern cowboys best feature ;)
But then. I believe that there are times to speak 'harshly'  ( I use that losely because I honestly dont think how he acted is a big deal. It's a big deal  how he's percieved however. )
Regardless if he said shut up or hush, he probably could have 'spoken' more loudly had he just went silent until they realized he wasn't replying at all. But that's how I was raised. Talking over people never seemed to do much for teaching people manners in my family. Leading by example did.
