Location: Missouri | I'm sure there are plenty of threads I could search for for info on animal communicators in general. But I want to ask what may be a very dumb question - HOW do they do it???
I've always thought it would be interesting to try, but for some reason it's always been something I've associated with like people who talk to deceased people and I definitely shy away from things like that.
So can anyone offer insight on how it 'works?' I'd definitely like to get in my mares head at times but human psychics kind of make me nervous...is this the same?
For the record, I feel like a complete nincompoop for asking this but...I've wanted to know for a while! Lol |

| I've never used one, so have no personal experience. I would SURE like to hear from those who have.
My experience with psychics dealing with people has been a joke.

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | My only experience wasn't a good one. A friend lost her dog. It got loose while camping, got scared and ran off at a national forest camp. He had slipped out of the collar so no tags on him now. We searched and searched and put up signs etc. A week went by and we figured he was either picked up by a kind person or he was coyote food.
Out of desperation for hope...she called a recommended animal communicator. (Don't remember the lady's name). The lady took her credit card info and told her the dog was alive...and at a "Yellow house" not too far from where he was lost. And that he missed her and was very very hungry and had a hurt leg.
My friend searched and searched some more...desperate to find him. A month after he had been lost....a lady called to say she had seen the lost dog signs and that she thinks she has the dog! Turned out these folks were camping in another area that weekend when he went missing. He came to their trailer and looked lost and dirty. He was sweet and had no collar so they figured he had gotten dumped. They took him home...named him and had gotten attached. They had gone back camping a month later and saw the signs.
They lived in a red brick house...hours from the site. He was well fed and happy.
So...NONE of what the communicator said was accurate...none of it. (Well...he was still alive so there's that) So...kinda solidified my lack of belief in that sort of thing. |

I won't lie...the idea of using a human psychic scares me. I know of some friends who tried it and afterwards weird paranormal crap kept happening to them. No thank you. :( |

| I have called one of the animal communicators before. Some things were correct and some things were totally wrong. She told me that the horse would show her a dark spot on their body if something was wrong. She could scan the body for any dark spots and see things that were wrong. I'm not sure if I believe everything either. Like I said some things were correct and others were totally off, so I don't know if I buy into it or not. Maybe I just give too much information! LOL! Some of the animal communicators have published books explaining how you can open up your mind to communicate with your animals. |

Kathy has always been spot on with what she has told me. I have seen some crazy accurate readings from Kathy for others, as well. She has helped me with horses who were very nervous when on the road, a horse who had an undiagnosed soundness issue and a few other things and I have been very pleased every time. She says that if we try, anyone can communicate with our horses and she teaches how at her workshops. Personally, I can barely handle having my own thoughts in my head and am more than happy to pay her to do it for me! |

Location: Phoenix | When I talked to Kathy the reading was more about ME through the eyes of my horse. My horse was saying how I was too hard on myself, that I roped well....those hit home because I really hard on myself when I miss. She also knew how dad would stand and "warn" my horse in the box....a lot of little things rang true. No idea how they do it...they probably DO snoop on Facebook or SOMETHING! Lol |

Location: IL | My conversation with Kathy regarding my Paint mare was extrememly helpful and accurate. I made sure to not give any clues or information she could use to give me an answer. Just made sure my questions were vague. Some I knew the answer to already but wanted to see how accurate she was. However my major convincing moment was regarding my mare hitting barrels. I just asked Kathy to ask my Paint mare if there was anything I was doing during our runs that was hindering her, I needed to do different, etc.
Kathy asked my Paint mare to show her what it felt like to make a run with me riding. She explained it to me as she was "seeing/feeling" it. I was shocked when Kathy exclaimed "Wow! She just DIVES into the second barrel!" Yep, that was indeed the problem we were having. No amount of drills, counter arcing, taking her to the fence, changing rate points, etc were helping. Kathy stated that she could "feel" what it felt to my mare to have me riding. She said, "It's definitely not you. You ride very centered & have a light hand. You aren't giving her any cues or subtle movements that would make her think its time to rate or turn. The problem is your little mare thinks she can do this all on her own."
I knew where I needed to sit to prepare my mare to turn which is when my leg is next to the barrel. Problem was she thought she had it on her own and would start to rate too soon even though I was forward, kicking, etc. Kathy explained to my mare that she absolutely had to wait for my cue, to wait until she felt me sit deep, and then she could begin to turn.
The fact that my consultation with Kathy was 3 years ago, and ever since that phone converstation, my mare has not come close to hitting a barrel and waits for my cue EVERY time is proof enough for me.
I don't think all of them out there are legit, but I do think Kathy has a gift. |

Location: Texas | I've never called Kathy but we used to call another lady a lot.. at first got some really cool stuff.. then over time it got really generic and more lovey warm fuzzy stuff from the horse instead of diagnostic issues. but she's called out some things big time. IDK how I feel about it anymore. Haven't called one in years. |

I think it was something like $30 for the first 15 min and $15 for each addition min? Reasonable. |

Location: Ky | How do they do it? They are excellent scammers. First, you have to call them. Why wouldn't they call you if they know you want to talk to them?
Second, they won't do a reading on the spot if you call them. They have to schedule a reading but only after you give them info. Why do you have to give them info? Shouldn't they already know this? Why not a reading on the spot if they don't need to track down down info for the scam?
Third, they are simply crooks and charlatans waiting for an easy mark. Of course they already knew I was going to post this. Being physic and all. |

Wow - maybe those psychics were real, the one I dealt with was NOT! They used to have "psychic parties" around here and it just amazed me how much info people would FEED to the psychic and then be SO amazed when she "guessed" the right info. |
