Location: Oklahoma | I really think it depends what you're trying to accomplish with your program. I personally prefer the Sun Frost/Lone Drifter crosses. I like the foundation lines that can and will perform in any event. I cross them on my stallion who has a little more running blood. |

Nailed it. These lines are the best. Some of them are getting much harder to find though. |

Very possible...The list I made is of proven broodmare sires for the barrel pen. If we are talking about future names to be on that list...I could go on and on. |

Well sheesh Spencer, that is what we all want. I also want those Powerball numbers when you have a minute. If we are all about forcasting future greats lol.
In all honesty anything well bred, proven on the track like Volcom could be an outstanding broodmare sire just for the fact that they will get a chance to be proven themselves and then those mares will go on to get the good sires. There are also your natural greats, the ones that have few famous connections and still make it big because they have the God given talent, and then there are those that will pretty much make it no matter what because of their connections.
I would own pretty much any daughter on the posts listed. Maybe they have already been listed but I think Special Leader and Ivory James are going to be big. PYC as well if enough can afford him and breed back daughters. Most of the daughters I have seen by PYC owned by the barrel crowd are not big performers on the track. Nothing wrong with them, just the big winners are staying with the big money owners and going to top race stallions. |

| Β Volcom is a HUGE horse. Typically barrel racers tend to shy away from what he produces physically. I have no doubt he will be a race producer. I'm not sure if he has the ability to cross over as a barrel producer. Time will tell. |

Possibly, but the ones I have been around haven't been overly big. Very quick and athletic and can fly. For sure a race producer, a Volcom won the last All American Futurity.

Β Yes, a Volcom did win the AA. Too bad that win was surrounded by controversy after him and the horse that won the AA juvie both collapsed after the race with the owners giving the reason for the collapse as they "just needed a drink of water". Same owner, different bloodlines, both collapsed and were vanned off. |

Stoli
Rare Bar
Jet Of Honor- but the youngest daughters are 19..
I personally like Reckless Dash because of the one I have, and strawflyin Buds.. but those aren't exactly main stream in the barrel horse world.
I'd snatch up Tres Seis daughters too. |
