International Star scratched for hoof issues but the Ramsey's also scratched several more of their horses today. I'm not sure today was the day for a trainer to be pi$$ing off the owner.

From the romp that American Pharoah put on them in the Arkansas, you better have a wide setting on your TV or thru your bino's. He loped the first 3/4 of that race. I want him to be challenged. Have a friend on the backside she says he's looking good. Sure wish I was in my funny hat and not watching from work!

Me too...my friend and I split a boxed trifect on those three...I'm pretty confident and pretty excited. I almost never bet on the Kentucky Derby, I feel like I'm a nervous wreck when I do, but I like these three colts too well. It also helps for me not to be watching racing before I go to church...I have yet to see the Kentucky Derby while it is actually being run, I'm always at church at that time. I will one day, though!

I really like Dortmund. I'm not sure about American Pharoah. I'm starting to like Firing Line too.

We just had to turn off the pre race show. Why would they have Johnny Weirdo commentating? Way too aggravating listening to him for us..

Well, he was asked and I didn't like the response nor the way he was landing the inside front. Anyone else notice the flight of the left front and the way it was landing on the stretch run?

From what I could see, he was on the left lead for the turn. Then once he switched, American Pharaoh came on.

AP, Is the horse I'm talking about. He really didn't answer as hard as I thought he would under the whip and I didn't like what I was seeing on the left front. Glad that he had to dig down for this win. I just think he's bred from speed on his Dams side and I'm not seeing the "speed".
